Dining at Disney Springs often presents a challenge: do you stick with your old favorites or try the latest menu revamps? Recently, City Works Eatery & Pour House updated its menu, and a familiar face has returned to the “Shareables” section. After appearing and disappearing periodically, and falling off the menu entirely in 2025, the Tuna Nachos are back.

While the name has seen a slight tweak, the description remains remarkably similar to the version fans enjoyed in years past. Of course, any mention of tuna nachos at Walt Disney World triggers an inevitable comparison to the legendary Ahi Tuna Nachos at Yak & Yeti Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But as we discovered, City Works offers a compelling alternative that stands on its own merits, and its own rewards program.

City Works Tuna Nachos Price and Value: The Bottleneck Advantage

The Yak & Yeti version is a massive mountain of food priced at $23.79. While the City Works Tuna Nachos are not quite as large, the price point is lower, making it a more approachable shareable for a smaller group.

Where City Works really wins is the math. They utilize the Bottleneck Rewards program, which consistently offers better value than the Landry’s Select Club used at Yak & Yeti. For our visit, we were actually prompted to order these because of a discount provided just for being a Bottleneck member. Furthermore, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders receive a 10% discount that can be used in addition to reward program savings. This is a significant perk, as Landry’s locations typically require guests to choose between their rewards or the AP discount, so you can’t have both.

Oh, did we mention, that the Yak & Yeti version costs $23,79 and the City Works Tuna Nachos cost $18.99? We can debate flavors and portion size. Still, the price-point difference and discounts should be factored into the inevitable comparison.

Flavor Profile: Beyond Traditional Nachos

City Works Tuna Nachos

The menu description for the City Works Tuna Nachos reads, “Sesame ginger-marinated ahi tuna, cucumber, daikon radish, tomato, avocado, fresno chiles, green onions, sesame seeds, spicy mayo, soy glaze, crispy wonton chips. Needless to say, many flavors are featured with these nachos. Also, they should get extra point for being colorful!

The City Works Tuna Nachos are firmly in the category of “non-traditional” nachos. Forget melted orange cheese! These are built on crisp wonton chips that held up impressively well under a mountain of toppings without getting soggy.

The dish features a soy glaze and marinade that strike a perfect balance of salty and sweet. The chips are well-covered, ensuring you aren’t left with a pile of dry wontons at the bottom of the plate. For those wondering, the tuna is served appropriately chilled and seared. If you’re the type of person who asks for your ahi tuna “well done,” you might be in the wrong place!

The flavor landscape is busy but effective. Some components might not wow you individually. For example, our group found the avocado to be just “average” on its own. Still, the City Works Tuna Nachos and its toppings work harmoniously when eaten together. The avocado helps balance a spicy kick that builds over time.

A Note on the Heat

City Works Tuna Nachos

Be warned: there is more than just “theme park level spice” here. While it starts off mild, we noticed a significant heat buildup by the end of the dish. If you are sharing the plate among three or four people, you likely won’t notice it, but if you’re tackling a large portion of these yourself, the spice definitely lingers.

Overall, the City Works Tuna Nachos is a win for Disney Springs diners looking for a flavorful, high-value appetizer in a great sports-bar atmosphere. For more information about City Works Eatery & Pour House, please consult the restaurant’s official website.
