Looking for a unique appetizer? Read our review of the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks at City Works Eatery & Pour House in Disney Springs for all the cheesy details.

If you’re strolling through Disney Springs looking for an appetizer that defies traditional culinary boundaries, look no further than the West Side. Located near the Cirque du Soleil theater, City Works Eatery & Pour House has quietly introduced a fusion appetizer that sounds like a fever dream but tastes like a triumph: Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks.

The Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks made an appearance on the City Works Eatery & Pour House menu in 2025. This was part of the rotating Chef Selects Menu. Based on its performance, the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks have earned a spot on the everyday lineup that receives a makeover tomorrow, February 4, 2026.
Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks: The Concept

City Works is known for its massive wall of 90+ craft taps and upscale “bar bites,” but these sticks are part of the new everyday menu lineup. Imagine the creamy, seafood-forward filling of a classic crab rangoon, but instead of a thin wonton wrapper, it’s infused with the melty pull of mozzarella and encased in a crunchy panko crust.
The Taste Test

For $15.95, you get a container of five of these golden-brown beauties. The first thing you notice is the crunch. The panko breading is perfectly crisp, providing a sturdy shell for the decadence inside.
The filling is a savory blend of:
- Real Crab and Shrimp: You actually get a hint of seafood sweetness, not just “ocean flavoring.”
- Cream Cheese & Mozzarella: This creates a unique texture—stretchy like a cheese stick, but velvety like a rangoon.
- Green Onion & Garlic: These provide that essential “takeout” aromatic punch.
They are served with a side of firecracker sauce, which adds a sweet-and-spicy kick that cuts through the richness of the fried cheese. It’s a messy, indulgent, and surprisingly sophisticated snack. Best of all, these taste like elevated bar food with a twist, which is what the chefs at City Works strive to accomplish.
Concerns About Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks at City Works Disney Springs

While we love the overall non-traditional concept of the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks, they will not be perfect for everyone. For example, the firecracker dip works very well with the panko crust but not as well with the filling. That is not to say it is bad. It just does not work as well.
For some guests, the texture of the softer crab rangoon filling will be a challenge. However, the crab flavor does not overpower the appetizer.
Most of all, our primary concern relates to the potential mess factor. Be careful since the firecracker sauce will easily drip off after you dip the sticks. Additionally, the filling is soft, so there’s a potential mess, since the firecracker sauce will drip off easily.
Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks
Overall, most guests will enjoy the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks. They make a nice twist on bar food.
While City Works is often overlooked in favor of high-concept spots like Morimoto Asia or Jaleo, these Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks are a reason to make a detour. They are the ultimate “pour house” food—salty, savory, and designed to be paired with a cold IPA.
