Big news for brick-builders and Pokémon masters alike. Legoland Florida Resort has officially revealed a massive surprise for this summer’s lineup. Starting July 20, 2026, a brand-new Lego Pokémon Play Zone is coming to headline the annual Lego Festival.

This limited-time real-world experience is designed to level up your family summer plans. Not only will you get to dive into hands-on training zones, but you’ll also be among the first people in the world to get a sneak peek at the highly anticipated screen-free Lego Pokémon SMART Play™ sets before they officially hit store shelves in August.

The brand-new Lego Pokemon Legoland Play Zone allows kids and adults to live out their Pokémon Trainer dreams in a screen-free environment. Fans can bond with, nurture, and train a selection of five distinct Pokémon companions to prepare for epic brick-built battles.

The experience is split into interactive, hands-on areas using the new Lego SMART Play™ physical system:

  • The Nurture Area: Build your Pokémon a tasty snack, place it on the special snack table with a SMART tag, and watch how your digital-free companion reacts!
  • Creative Builds: Put together your very own custom Lego Poké Ball to display proudly.
  • Photo Ops: Don’t forget to grab your camera! A giant, larger-than-life brick-built Lego Pikachu model is making its way to the park specifically for the festival.

“Lego Pokémon brings an exciting new way for families to play together at this year’s Lego Festival,” said Brian Bacica, park president of Legoland Florida Resort. “Whether you’re a lifelong Pokémon fan or discovering it for the first time, families can build and share unforgettable moments together through hands-on experiences.”

Five Festival Zones to Explore

Running from July 20 to August 16, 2026, the festival transforms Legoland Florida Resort into an expansive celebration of creativity across five dedicated, interactive zones:

A Jam-Packed 2026 Season at Legoland Florida

A family of three—a boy, man, and woman—sit on the grass at night, looking up and smiling while wearing 3D glasses. Red, glowing fireworks shaped like Lego bricks burst across the dark sky above them for Red, White & BOOM!

The addition of Pokemon and the high-speed Lego F1 Thrill Zone adds to an already incredibly busy 2026 calendar at the park. If you are visiting before he launch of the festival, you can kick off July by celebrating Independence Day with the park’s signature Red, White & Boom 2026 4th of July Guide events. Foodies looking to fuel up during their summer visits can also indulge in the international flavors spotlighted in the Legoland Florida World Cup Experience 2026 Food Guide, which ends July 19 a day before the Lego Pokemon Legoland experience at Lego Festival 2026
