In our Grab-N-Goof Epcot review, we break down the budget-friendly treats for Cool Kids Summer 2026, including the messy Gawrsh! Worms Everywhere Cake.

Cool KIDS’ SUMMER has officially returned to the Walt Disney World Resort. Running daily through September 8, 2026, this limited-time celebration transforms all four theme parks, resort hotels, and water parks into a giant, high-energy playground designed especially for families with younger children.

While families flock to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to see the highly anticipated Walt Disney World debut of Bluey and Bingo, or over to the Magic Kingdom for Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue!, Epcot guests are finding an air-conditioned oasis inside CommuniCore Hall. Dubbed GoofyCore, this vibrant space features high-tempo music from DJ Dance Pants, wacky games like Loopy Limbo led by the Goof Troop, and cozy seating for parents trying to beat the Florida heat.

Still, all that dancing works up an appetite. Conveniently located just outside on the exterior corner of CommuniCore Hall, right near the CommuniCore Plaza stage, is the Grab-N-Goof quick-service kiosk. Returning for its second year, this booth operates as the dedicated culinary anchor for the GoofyCore play zone, offering inexpensive, “Lunchable-style” snacks designed primarily for kids. Instead of your chicken nuggets or cake being in a small compartment in the “Lunchable.” guests can order just one part. Put all three Grab-N-Goof food items together, and you have a big “Lunchable” meal.

We recently visited Epcot to try some Garb-N-Goof menu items. Our focus in this Grab-N-Goof Epcot review will be the dessert: the Gawrsh! Worms Everywhere Cake

Before we talk cake, let’s look at the full lineup. The pricing here is remarkably respectable for Walt Disney World, keeping the financial pain of midday snacking to a minimum.

Grab-N-Goof Epcot Review: Gawrsh! Worms Everywhere Cake — $4.49

At less than $5.00, it is incredibly hard to be overly critical of a Walt Disney World theme park snack. Visually, it looks exactly like the type of playful, chaotic treat a kid would design. However, the actual flavor execution left a bit to be desired for the adult palate.

Our experience with the cake can be broken down into a few key takeaways:

  • The Chocolate Quality: The base is a fairly basic chocolate cake with what is advertised as a chocolate ganache, though it feels heavily scaled back for the summer festival setting. Some guests have noted that the chocolate tastes surprisingly bitter. In our estimation, it is just not a very high-quality chocolate, yielding a taste reminiscent of an Easy-Bake Oven treat. If you are too young for that reference, you missed out on the unique joy and pain of baking a cake using a standard lightbulb!
  • The Toppings: The gummy worms crawling around the cake are a fun aesthetic touch, but the actual quality of the candy is slightly below average. That is candy’s actual quality even by standard gummy worm benchmarks. Furthermore, despite the menu description promising cookies and cream pieces, we couldn’t find or taste any.

Grab-N-Goof Epcot Review 2026

Just to be entirely clear: Grab-N-Goof targets kids. We also sampled the savory items, the Chicken Goof-Ups and the Goof Troop Mac Snack, and they were perfectly fine, predictable, and kid-friendly finger foods.

The Gawrsh! Worms Everywhere Cake follows that same pattern. While a food critic might scoff at the inferior chocolate quality, a seven-year-old child will likely think this is the greatest thing on earth. After all, it is Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, you are at Walt Disney World, and your parents are letting you eat gummy-worm-infested chocolate cake before noon. In that context, the rules are meant to be broken!

If you are looking for a cheap, fun treat to bribe your toddlers (or a cranky adult in your group) with while you relax in the GoofyCore air conditioning, grab it. If you are a foodie looking for a decadent chocolate dessert, walk over to the France pavilion instead of doing a Grab-N-Goof Epcot review.
