Halloween Horror Nights Orlando has officially revealed Downtown Clowntown, a massive scare zone for HHN 2026 that brings together iconic horror heavyweights and an army of original clown characters.
According to HHN social media, the atmospheric setting brings a dark twist to the Big Apple:
“The city that never sleeps becomes a waking nightmare when it’s overrun by Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Art the Clown and other clownsfolk who can’t wait to tear you limb from limb.”
Downtown Clowntown HHN: A Long-Awaited Concept Comes to Life
This announcement provides a thrilling answer for fans who wondered how Killer Klowns from Outer Space would fit into this year’s lineup following earlier reveals about the clowns returning. Rather than limiting them to a standalone house or isolated area, Universal Creative is giving the iconic invaders an expanded stage alongside Terrifier sensation Art the Clown and a host of terrifying new original clownsfolk.

“This has been a concept we’ve been sitting on for years. The title alone has been an internal meme, we’ve been verbalizing for over a decade.
To have this come to life and to take over even more area within our New York scare zone and populate it with not only Killer Clowns from Outer space and Art the Clown, but other horrifying clowns of all shapes, sizes, makes and models is a nightmarish dream!
Chances are, alive or otherwise you won’t be able to wipe the smile off your face.”
The Downtown Clowntown HHN announcement marks the final scare zone revealed for Halloween Horror Nights 35, following the debut of Infernal Carnival of Nightmares. That scare zone introduced guests to the sinister carnival overseen by Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow, setting the tone for what is shaping up to be one of the event’s most interconnected years. We also got news that Cindy would be making an appearance at Halloween Horror Nights 2026 in Orlando in the Sideshow of Decay scare zone. Of course, we should not forget about the Fortnitemares scare zone announced earlier this week.
