In this Al Pastor Taco review, we explore the Mexican Marketplace at SeaWorld. Is it a hit? Our Al Pastor Taco review has the crunchy, blue corn details.

The Seven Seas Food Festival is back at SeaWorld Orlando, and we are diving headfirst into the Mexican Marketplace. While we previously tried the Elote Corn Dip at this same booth, we decided to take a “big swing” on the Al Pastor with Blue Corn Tortillas. Available through March 8th, these tacos are making a limited-time appearance before rotating off the menu. Still, did they swim or sink? Let’s taco ’bout it.
As of February 12, 2026, the schedule for the Seven Seas Food Festival Marketplaces looks like this:
Culinary Marketplace Hours
- Thursdays- 2pm-7pm
- Fridays- 3pm-8pm
- Saturday and Sundays 12pm-8pm
This is a change from being open noon to park closing time. Guests should plan accordingly.
The Al Pastor Experience

For $11.99 (or a punch on your sampler lanyard), guests receive two tacos featuring marinated pork, mango, salsa, and cilantro crema, all nestled in blue corn tortillas. On paper, this sounds like a gourmet dream. In reality, it was a bit of a dental workout. We know that corn tortillas are naturally firmer than their flour cousins, but these blue corn beauties were auditioning for a role as ceramic tiles. They were so rigid that folding them was less of a culinary maneuver and more of a structural engineering challenge.
Unfortunately, the “crunch factor” of the tortilla was so distracting that it actually hindered the flavor of the fillings. It’s hard to appreciate a delicate cilantro crema when you’re worried about a tortilla-induced splinter.
Al Pastor Taco Review: The Flavor Profile

There is a lot going on here—both in a “yay, variety!” way and a “what is happening?” way.
- The Mango: This was the MVP. It provided a unique, sweet punch that saved the dish from being mundane.
- The Pork: Well-marinated, though it had to fight for attention against the salsa and crema.
- The Overall Vibe: It’s a non-traditional swing that we genuinely appreciate. SeaWorld Orlando didn’t play it safe here, and we respect the hustle. However, the flavors felt a bit inconsistent.
Al Pastor Taco Review: Average Theme Park Food

Ultimately, this felt like “average theme park food festival” fare. It’s fine, it’s filling, but it won’t change your life. We’re crossing our fingers that the next two taco rotations after March 8th bring a little more structural integrity and a lot more “wow.”

What is the Seven Seas Food Festival?

If you like your roller coasters and live music with a side of international cuisine, the Seven Seas Food Festival is your literal playground. Running on Thursdays – Sundays through May 17, this event transforms SeaWorld Orlando into a global snacking trek.
The festival features “Marketplaces” scattered throughout the park. Each station focuses on a specific region or flavor profile—like the Mexican Marketplace, or the Italian Market. For a full list of the Marketplace, you can read our resource here.
The best way to tackle the event is with a Sampler Lanyard, which allows you to prepay for 10 or 15 items, usually saving you a boatload of money compared to paying the $10–$13 “base price” for individual dishes.
