If you’ve stepped into Oasis Pizza at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay recently expecting to douse your soul in tangy Buffalo Chicken sauce, we have some news. In a sudden twist of theme park culinary musical chairs, the Buffalo Chicken Pizza has officially left the building, making way for a fairly recent addition to the menu: the Meat Lover’s Pizza.

Now, Oasis Pizza over at the Serengeti Overlook area has always maintained a delightfully straightforward philosophy. The menu is streamlined, focused, and mercifully brief. Still, what Oasis Pizza lacks in variety, it makes up for in technological efficiency.

The Kiosk Magic vs. The Crust Reality

Let’s give credit where credit is due: ordering via the touchscreen kiosks is an absolute win. In a world where standing in a queue behind a family arguing over fountain drink choices can age you faster than a trip on Iron Gwazi, bypassing human awkwardness to tap a screen three times is pure bliss. You order, you scan, you wait briefly, and boom…carbs delivered. If only every theme park interaction were this smooth.

Unfortunately, once you get past the slick kiosk tech, you have to actually eat the pizza. It’s no secret among seasoned parkgoers that overall pizza quality at Oasis Pizza has taken a bit of a dip in recent days. We’re not saying the dough was crafted by someone who holds a personal grudge against Naples, but let’s just say the crust isn’t exactly winning any international artisan awards. It has entered that familiar theme park territory of “edible starch container.”

The Meat Lovers Pizza costs $17.99. During this visit, we also ordered the Garlic Knots ($9.99) since we were using the All-Day Dining Plan during this visit.

Initial Thoughts About Our Meal Trying the Meat Lovers Oasis Pizza Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Since we were using the All-Day Dining Plan, we ordered a side of Garlic Knots ($9.99). We did not have high expectations for this based on our previous experiences. The Garlic Knots did not look good. They are very pre-made. They come out of a warmer when ordered. However, they are served with cold marinara sauce, which hinders them drastically. The Garlic Knots were doughy but lacked flavor. However, they did not lack for grease in the paper boat they were served in.

The Meat Lovers Oasis Pizza

We went into this review with hope. However, we knew what could happen. We have been disappointed by pizza here before! The pizza itself was fine. The addition of more toppings helps. However, the Meat Lovers Oasis Pizza is inferior to the version at Dockside Pizza at SeaWorld Orlando. At SeaWorld Orlando, the Meat Lovers Pizza is not included in the All-Day Dining Plan. Still, this pizza costs $17.99. With the pepperoni and cheese pizza options at Oasis Pizza costing only a dollar less at most, adding more toppings seems worth the small extra cost.

Why the Meat Lover’s Is Still Your Best Bet at Oasis Pizza

Here is our golden rule for dining across the broader United Parks family (whether you’re at Busch Gardens or SeaWorld): If you are stranded and absolutely insist on eating theme park pizza, always order the Meat Lover’s version, unless you have a dietary reason to avoid this!

Why? It’s basic culinary physics:

• The Shielding Effect: Plain cheese pizza exposes every flaw in dough and sauce.
• The Flavor Distraction: A heap of pepperoni, sausage, and bacon acts as a delicious, salty distraction for your tastebuds.
• The Protein Ratio: At least you’re getting enough fuel to survive another two hours in the Montu line.

The Verdict: Fine, But Not Great

So, how was the new Meat Lover’s Pizza at Oasis Pizza? In two words: It’s fine. Not “write home to Mom” great, but certainly not “feed it secretly to the giraffes on the Serengeti Plain” bad. The toppings hold up their end of the bargain with plenty of savory, salty goodness. The sauce and crust do their job as structural support systems. You won’t weep tears of joy, but if you’re rocking the All-Day Dining Deal and need a quick, heavy calorie drop, it gets the job done.

Next time you’re at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, hit up those glorious ordering kiosks, grab a slice of Meat Lover’s, and enjoy the views. Just manage those expectations, and save your true culinary worship for the Ropa Vieja at BG Cuban Cafe instead!
