Busch Gardens Trip Report
Oasis Pizza

A perfect day at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay requires a few things: thrilling rides, animal encounters, and satisfying food. For many guests, Oasis Pizza at Serengetti Overlook is the go-to spot for a quick and reliable theme park lunch. On our most recent visit, we grabbed the classic Pepperoni Pizza to see if it delivers.

The Oasis Pizza Pepperoni Review

The pepperoni pizza at Oasis Pizza is served on a rectangular, personal-sized flatbread with rounded edges. As you can see in the photos, it features a thinner, crispier crust that is ideally suited for on-the-go theme park dining. The edges are nicely charred, providing a satisfying crunch, at least during our recent visit. Of course, this style of crust can easily become too tough to chew.

The pizza is topped with a melted mozzarella cheese and plenty of small, savory pepperoni slices that cup and slightly crisp up during the bake. A dusting of dried herbs, likely oregano and basil, adds an aromatic finish and Italian flavor.

Frankly, it’s just average theme park pizza; the kind of quick flatbread common at parks like those owned by United Parks & Resorts. It’s a classic, straightforward flavor profile that is dependable and satisfying for a mid-day refuel, but don’t expect gourmet quality. Based on several previous experiences here, we tend to encourage people to go elsewhere. However, on this trip, the food was better… not great, but still better.

Service at Oasis Pizza

Nonetheless, we experienced a tale of two ambassadors. One server was incredibly polite and outgoing, though a bit socially awkward. The other server said out loud, “Sorry, I cannot get the pizza. I have not put my gloves on yet.” His entire job was to deliver pizza to people, so you decide whether they are willing to be a good ambassador for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

The price for the Pepperoni Pizza is $17.29. However, we can’t stress this enough: this item is a recognized entrée on the Busch Gardens All-Day Dining Deal. For guests utilizing this option, the flatbread is a decent value and a popular way to maximize the deal throughout the day. With Toma at Orang Café rarely being open these days, the choices for All-Day Dining Plan users have gotten smaller. Additionally, with fewer menu items available for use with that budget-friendly plan, Oasis Pizza must be considered.
