We reviewed the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich at Oasis Pizza Busch Gardens. See if this quick-service spot is worth your All-Day Dining Plan stop.

On our ongoing quest to conquer every quick-service restaurant at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay with the All-Day Dining Plan (because who needs moderation?), we made a stop at Oasis Pizza. The goal: eat everywhere. The location: the right side of the park, tucked near three major coasters. Also, it is short stroll from some animal habitats. The menu item of the day: the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich.

Now, let’s be clear! This was not our first rodeo with Oasis Pizza. In fact, we’ve eaten almost everything here, including kid’s meals, and even the long-lost Margherita Pizza (RIP, you will be missed). Still, this was our first official attempt at the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, a menu item that…plot twist: doesn’t even appear online. Because why make it easy to plan your dining strategy?

Oasis Pizza Busch Gardens: The Sandwich That Waited in the Warmers

Oasis Pizza Busch Gardens

Like most food at Oasis Pizza, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich comes straight from the warmer. Nothing says “fine dining” quite like grabbing something that’s been patiently waiting under a heat lamp. For $17.29 (fries included, because theme park rules), you get a large sub-style bun stuffed with chicken tenders, mozzarella-ish cheese, and the same red sauce used on the meatball sub.

The bread? Hard enough to make you question your dental insurance. The chicken? Standard tenders dressed up for prom with a melted cheese coat. The sauce? Serviceable. Altogether, it’s filling, heavy, and… honestly not the worst thing on the menu. That honor might still belong to the meatball sub.

Oasis Pizza Busch Gardens Chicken Parmesan Sandwich: What Works (and What Doesn’t)

To give credit where it’s due, the sandwich is satisfying in a “this could feed two people if you’re feeling generous” kind of way. Split the sandwich, share the fries, and you’ve got a meal that feels almost like a good value. Almost!

Still, the breading on the tenders makes the whole thing carb overload central. Bread on bread with sauce in the middle makes this is starch city, and you are the mayor. Meanwhile, the mozzarella cheese at least provides a nice gooey texture. However, the overall vibe is less “authentic Italian” and more “theme park version of Italian… via chicken tenders.”

The Kids Weren’t Impressed Either

Funny side note: while we were eating, we overheard two kids ask for chicken tenders, only to be told Oasis Pizza doesn’t serve them. Except… they basically do, just inside a sandwich. Confusing, right? Chicken tenders are not an option on the kids’ menu even though they are used on this sandwich.

Meanwhile, other kids in the restaurant ordered kids’ meals (half of a flatbread pizza). Out of four kids, three announced they didn’t like it. Ouch! When even the kids revolt over pizza, you know a menu has problems.

With the Margherita Pizza gone, Oasis Pizza feels like a tough sell. Sure, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich is edible, filling, and fine if you’re starving or hiding out while your friends ride Cheetah Hunt. Plus, the drink refill station is a lifesaver if you’re on the All-Day Beverage Plan.

Still, if you’re looking for memorable food? This probably isn’t it. Unless your idea of adventure is surviving a very dense sandwich before braving roller coasters. In that case, Oasis Pizza might be perfect. With quick service options like TOMA at Orang Cafe at this theme park, Oasis Pizza Busch Gardens looks like a questionable choice, even for kids!

We’ll keep eating our way around Busch Gardens so you don’t have to risk your taste buds blindly. For more theme park dining reviews, check out MSM News, where we post theme park dining reviews every weekday at noon Eastern. As always, eat like you mean it!
