Infernal Carnival of Nightmares is the first scare zone announced for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, where Jack and Dr. Oddfellow host a sinister spectacle.

Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced Infernal Carnival of Nightmares as the first scare zone coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2026. The all-new experience brings together two of the event’s most iconic characters, Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow, for a twisted carnival where unimaginable horrors lurk around every corner.

The official announcement teases guests with the following invitation: “Jack and Dr. Oddfellow invite you to step right up and see what horrors hide in every shadow at a sinister spectacle decades in the making.” While Universal has not yet shared additional story details, the announcement strongly suggests that Infernal Carnival of Nightmares will play a major role in this year’s milestone 35th anniversary event. The pairing of Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow continues the ongoing rivalry and mythology surrounding two of Halloween Horror Nights’ most recognizable original characters.

Scare zones have long been a signature part of Halloween Horror Nights, transforming the streets of Universal Studios Florida into immersive environments where guests encounter elaborate sets, atmospheric effects, and roaming scareactors. Infernal Carnival of Nightmares is the first of the scare zones expected for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, with additional announcements likely coming soon.

The carnival theme appears to be a natural fit for both Jack and Dr. Oddfellow. Jack the Clown has become synonymous with twisted circus imagery throughout Halloween Horror Nights history, while Dr. Oddfellow’s background as a mysterious ringmaster creates an intriguing dynamic between the two fan-favorite icons. Fans can likely expect an unsettling midway filled with sinister performers, disturbing surprises, and plenty of opportunities for scares.

  • Sinners: Based on the hit Warner Bros. Pictures film, this house transports guests back to 1930s Mississippi Delta. Step inside the opening night of Club Juke, where you’ll try to survive a relentless onslaught from bloodthirsty, red-eyed vampires.
  • Hellraiser: Confirmed for Universal Studios Hollywood, this house brings the legendary Pinhead and his tormented Cenobites to life, drawing directly from the original Hellraiser film trilogy.
