We visited Disney Springs for the Salt & Straw Berries Series. We tried the limited-time Birthday Cakes and Blackberries and Oishii Strawberry Pretzel Salad. We have a bonus theme park dining review for readers today. Every weekday at noon, we publish a theme park dining review. However, today deserves a second one.

Salt & Straw Berries Series

Salt & Straw at Disney Springs has just unveiled its newest rotating flavor series—and this time, it’s all about berries. The July 2025 Berries Series collection celebrates the sweet, tart, and vibrant essence of summer’s most beloved fruits. Known for their inventive, small-batch ice creams, Salt & Straw is taking berry season to the next level with this limited-time lineup.

Each flavor in the Berries Series blends farm-fresh berries with the brand’s signature creamy bases, offering guests a flavorful journey that highlights both classic combinations and unexpected twists. This seasonal menu is designed to spotlight the diversity of berries and how they can transform a dessert into something unforgettable. Each scoop is handcrafted in small batches, using high-quality ingredients sourced from trusted farmers and artisans.

Disney Springs

Located near the heart of Disney Springs, Salt & Straw remains a standout destination for adventurous ice cream lovers. The Berries Series not only adds a splash of seasonal excitement but also captures the playful, imaginative spirit that defines Salt & Straw’s identity.

We visited Disney Springs on June 27, the first day of the new Berries series. We ordered two scoops for $10.25. The flavors we chose were Birthday Cakes and Blackberries, as well as Oishii Strawberry Pretzel Salad ice cream.

Salt & Straw Berries Series Review: Birthday Cakes and Blackberries

Salt & Straw Berries Series

This consists of rainbow-flecked ‘confetti’ cake that is generously strewn throughout salted vanilla ice cream and wrapped with a ribbon of Oregon Growers jam. We thought the blackberry flavor worked very well. The confetti-style birthday cake component enhanced the overall taste of the ice cream. This ice cream has previously appeared on limited-time menus at Salt & Straw in Disney Springs. When we enjoyed this flavor. Not to exaggerate, but this might be the best flavors we’ve ever had at Salt & Straw. The berries tasted fresh, and the birthday cake did nothing to diminish that.

Salt & Straw Berries Series Review: Oishii Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Salt & Straw Berries Series

This flavor called to us with the unique ingredients. This is a brand-new flavor at Salt & Straw Disney Springs. This ice cream features Japanese strawberries. The new flavor is made up of glossy jelly packed with vibrant Oishii berries. Crunchy pretzel crumble folds into cream cheese ice cream along with the strawberry jelly.

Our group did not enjoy this flavor as much. The strawberry flavors tasted inconsistent between the Japanese strawberry flavor and a good imitation strawberry flavor. The pretzel component creates the “salad” aspect of this ice cream. However, we did not feel the pretzel component worked as well as needed. This new flavor shows creativity, but the flavor lags behind.

Salt & Straw Berries Series

The Berries collection is available for a limited time, so visitors looking to cool down with something special should stop by soon. Whether you’re a berry enthusiast or just looking for a fun new flavor, this summery scoop series is worth the visit. The Salt & Straw Berries Series at Disney Springs is a must-try for any summer dessert lover. From Birthday Cakes and Blackberries to Oishii Strawberry Pretzel Salad, Salt & Straw brings summer to life in every scoop.
