Our Expedition Cafe Spaghetti review breaks down the cost and flavor of this SeaWorld Orlando dish. Is this $19.99 pasta bowl worth your All-Day Dining credit?

If you are looking for a break from the standard rotation of burgers and chicken tenders, SeaWorld Orlando’s Expedition Café offers a bit of variety. Located in the Antarctica realm near the high-energy Penguin Trek attraction, this quick-service food court serves as a central hub for hungry explorers. We recently stopped by to put their Spaghetti and Meatballs to the test. Here is how this classic comfort food holds up in the middle of a theme park based on our most recent Expedition Café Spaghetti review.
Expedition Cafe Spaghetti Review: The Atmosphere and Experience

Expedition Café is a busy, multi-station food court. Because of its proximity to Penguin Trek, it remains a high-traffic area. During our visit at 1:00 p.m. on a busy weekday, it took about 16 minutes to navigate the queue and pay.
The biggest drawback here is the seating. While there are indoor air-conditioned, covered outdoor, and open outdoor options, they fill up fast. We’ve found seating so limited lately that we often trek over to the Chick-fil-A closer to the front of the park just to find a table with enough space to work on this Expedition Cafe spaghetti review.
The Main Event: Spaghetti and Meatballs

The menu describes this as “classic spaghetti topped with tender meatballs and a hearty red tomato sauce.”
- Price: $19.99 (A la carte).
- The Verdict: To be blunt, $19.99 for a pasta bowl with no side is outrageous. However, if you are using the All-Day Dining Plan, the value proposition shifts significantly, making it a much more reasonable choice.
The dish arrived with three and a half average-sized meatballs. While the pasta looked standard, the sauce had a surprisingly pleasant aroma. In terms of flavor, it is basic quick-service fare—comparable to the pasta bowls at Busch Gardens Tampa’s Dragon Fire Grill. The spaghetti tastes fine, but it has that “sitting under a heat lamp” quality. The meatballs are also strictly average, falling into the trap of “Americanized theme park Italian” that rarely dazzles.
The Sweet Finish: Oreo Cupcake

As part of our Dining Plan, we paired the meal with an Oreo Cupcake. While the $8.99 a la carte price is steep, the quality was a highlight. The United Parks & Resorts chefs consistently nail the “cookies and cream” icing. Even though the cake base was a bit dry, the icing saved the dessert and made for a solid finish to the meal.
Expedition Cafe Spaghetti Review

We applaud SeaWorld Orlando for offering an alternative to the usual fried fare, but this shouldn’t be at the top of your “must-eat” list. It serves its purpose as a filling, non-burger meal, but the portion size and flavor profile lag behind other park options.
