Via Napoli Epcot is known for pizza, but what about the seafood? Read our full review of the Branzino and dining experience at this Epcot favorite.

Via Napoli Epcot remains a popular dining option for guests craving Italian food inside the park. This Walt Disney World table-service restaurant developed a reputation for serving high-quality pizza at the theme park resort. Some legends have grown up about the pizza preparation process. Still, if guests are going to have pizza inside one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks, Via Napoli makes a solid choice.
Nevertheless, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria offers more than just pizza. For example, during one visit, we ordered Filetto di Manzo. Guests can get more than just standard “Americanized” pasta dishes at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. For example, in addition to the beef filet dish, guests can order the Branzino.
What is Branzino?

Branzino, also known as European sea bass, is a mild, flaky white fish native to the Mediterranean Sea and parts of the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Highly prized in Mediterranean cuisine, branzino is valued for its delicate flavor, light texture, and versatility in cooking. The fish typically weighs between one and three pounds and is often served whole, either grilled, baked, or roasted.
Its subtly sweet and buttery taste makes branzino a favorite among seafood lovers who prefer a less “fishy” profile. Chefs frequently prepare it, using olive oil, lemon, herbs, and garlic to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. The skin crisps beautifully when roasted or grilled, while the meat remains moist and tender.
Via Napoli Epcot Recent Experience

On the day we ordered the Branzino at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria, we arrived a few minutes early for our advanced dining reservation. Via Napoli does not offer an online check-in option, so guests must visit the host/hostess stand to confirm their arrival.
After checking in, we moved to the lobby area. At this location, we waited to hear our name called. This area is relatively small, so be prepared for that. Some minimal seating is available in this lobby area. Additionally, guests should expect to see many tables empty while in the waiting area. This is common at Via Napoli. Groups should keep everyone together. If someone needs to visit the restroom, one is located within the restaurant for use while waiting.
Guests dining at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria should prepare for a noisy dining experience. This does not make an ideal place for a quiet romantic dinner. Now, back to the Branzino…
Via Napoli Epcot Branzino – $39

At Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria, the Branzino receives a touch of Italian flair. The menu description reads, “mediterranean sea bass, lemon oil, sautéed green beans, cherry tomatoes.”
Our entrée arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The presentation looked fine. For guests who have enjoyed the former Branzino entrée at Topolino’s Terrace, the Via Napoli one does not compare in terms of initial appearances. Still, this costs less than the seafood dinner entrée at Disney’s Riviera Resort’s signature restaurant.
The Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria version offers a nicely prepared dish. The green beans taste okay. We are still amazed that guests can order green beans as a side dish at this table-service restaurant.
The cherry tomatoes made a nice touch with the fish. However, the fish suffers from an initial quality issue. We experienced this with the Filetto di Manzo during that meal. The preparation appears fine.
Nevertheless, the fish lacked the flaky light texture typical of branzino. This entrée does not qualify as a bad choice. Nonetheless, it does not stand out either. Once again, our experiences at Via Napoli prove that guests should stick to the traditional Neapolitan pizza here.
Final Verdict on the Branzino at Via Napoli Epcot

We cannot recommend this dish for more than $39, plus tax and tip. In fairness, finding good value on seafood at one of the in-park Walt Disney World restaurants can be a challenge in 2025. While good value can be found at Disney Springs for seafood, the options count as limited within the Disney theme parks.
Planning a trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World can be overwhelming, and at times, frustrating. MouseDining removes the frustration of booking Disney dining reservations, alerting you when they spot availability for your desired restaurant, date, meal, and time.
