Triple Double Mint Flavortown Shake Review at Chicken Guy: Welcome to Flavortown with a Population of One Giant Minty Problem

Triple Double Mint Shake Chicken Guy Disney Springs

We went to review the Triple Double Mint Shake, which costs $7.99 at Chicken Guy Disney Springs, with a missing garnish (sort of) and no spoon in sight. This turned out to be a $7.99 Disney Springs milkshake with a very long name, a missing mint cookie, and dilemma that laughs at your straw.

Some milkshakes have a name. The Triple Double Mint Flavortown Shake has a résumé. It costs $7.99 at Chicken Guy Disney Springs. The name alone takes longer to say than it takes a Disney Springs seagull to steal a fry. Welcome to Flavortown, where nobody ever said the menu board had to be reasonable.

We were promised a mint chocolate fast-casual masterpiece. Instead, we got a lesson in cookie physics, mobile-ordering trust issues, and one very large problem for our straw. Strap in, because this review of the Guy Fieri milkshake is going to get funky.

What Is the Triple Double Mint FlavorTown Shake?

Here is the official menu description, straight from the Chicken Guy! ordering page:

hand-spun mint chocolate soft serve, crushed OREO® cookies, chocolate mints & chocolate syrup, topped with fresh whipped cream

That is a lot of words for a shake, and none of them are “spoon.” We will get to that.

Let’s Talk About That Name

“Triple Double” is a basketball stat. “Double Mint” is a gum from the checkout aisle. “Flavortown” is Guy Fieri’s personal zip code. Somehow all three live in one cup. By our math, Triple times Double equals six mints, and we are sad to report we counted, and the math did not check out. Nobody sat down at Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and asked for the arithmetic to be this ambitious.

If you are keeping score, the name has more modifiers than the shake has minty flavors. That is out of bounds, my friends.

The Mobile Order Saga

Chicken Guy Disney Springs mobile order pickup

First, a quick moment for the ordering experience. Mobile order at Chicken Guy Disney Springs is still very clunky. However, this was the first time in our many visits that we got an app notification and an email confirming they received our order. Hold the phone. Is that dynamite progress? Maybe. Did it feel like a miracle? Absolutely.

Historically, we got no notification and simply had to wait at the counter, hoping. On one occasion, we ordered while near Planet Hollywood, and they made our order so fast that they called our name before we got there. So, we waited needlessly. We also have a few war stories about waiting 30 to 45 minutes with no notification via app or email. For the record, we are talking about the official Chicken Guy! mobile app, not My Disney Experience.

Since our trust in Chicken Guy! is, let’s say, still under construction, we showed up ten minutes before the order was supposed to be ready. Winner, winner, chicken dinner? Not quite, but the shake was ready on time. Now, if you want to see how the savory side of this menu holds up, check out our Bourbon Brown Sugar Sandwich review at Chicken Guy!.

Promo Photo vs. Reality

Here is where the Triple D detective work comes in. The promotional photos show a mint cookie piece perched on the shake like a crown. When they handed us the shake, that crown was nowhere to be found. It was a naked cup of whipped cream. No mint cookie. Sadly, no garnish and no explanation.

Triple Double Mint Shake

Of course, we found it later. More on that in a minute, because the plot thickens, and so does the shake.

Triple Double Mint Shake: How Does It Taste?

The milkshake base has a good mint chocolate chip flavor. Not great, but good for an $8 dessert at Disney Springs. We will take good. Good is money in this price range.

The big problem is structural. Cookie crumbles block the straw. Well, we thought they were cookie crumbles. In fact, our Triple Double Mint Shake did not get many Oreo pieces.

The mint chocolate candy pieces clogged the straw. They stick to the bottom, so plan accordingly. If you use only the straw, you may end up with just whipped cream and mint chocolate pieces, which isn’t much to complain about, except the mint shake is then forced to stand on its own. Spoons are not commonly available at this Chicken Guy Disney Springs location, so get a fork or your own spoon if you want to scoop out the whipped cream and mint-chip goodness. Stick a fork in it, because that is the only tool that is going to save you.

Chips, Chips, and More Chips!

In fairness, this shake is mostly chocolate chip goodness with very (very, very, very) few OREO crumbles. The chocolate mint tastes more like a decent chocolate chip with a touch of mint flavoring, like it could have come from the shake portion itself. However, there are plenty of mint chocolate chips, and they are tasty. Good luck avoiding a gigantic one.

Speaking of gigantic, that is where we found our missing garnish. We pulled out a cookie piece so big it could never go through a straw, which is off the hook, but it is bad form for Chicken Guy to hide a piece that size in a shake when guests are only handed a straw, and there are no spoons to go through a straw.

It tasted like actual mint. We were basically handed a candy boulder and a coffee stirrer. On a more positive note, if you are planning a Disney Springs dessert crawl, you could also see what else is cooking on the same shopping trip in our City Works Chef Selects October 2026 post.

Triple Double Mint Shake: To Order or Not to Order – That is the Question

Back to the Triple Double Mint Shake…This is a good shake wearing a great, ridiculous name. The mint chocolate chip base is solid, the chips are plentiful, and the whipped cream does its job. Still, the missing promo garnish, the cookie crumbles that clog the straw, and the lack of spoons keep it from reaching true Flavortown glory.

Our advice: order it, grab a fork before you sit down, and show up early, because trust has to be earned. If you want another “Doom” to chew on, the Dunkin Avengers Doomsday menu is arriving soon and has a lot less cookie physics. For $7.99, we will call this one good, not great. Not a bad way to take a mint to the next level, as long as you pack a spoon.
