When we stopped by on a weekday early afternoon, the restaurant was bustling as usual. Guest should anticipate that if visiting. However, on this day, the system was having a tough time processing Disney Dining Plans and gift cards during our visit. This led to slow transactions. The place could not even take its own gift cards during our visit.
How the Monte Cristo Sandwich Disney Springs Measures Up

The ham shines brightest here, fresh, flavorful, and generously layered. The Swiss cheese also does its job well enough, adding creamy balance to the savory bite. However, it simply gets the job done- nothing more.
The powdered sugar on top is lighter than expected, which helps cut down on the mess but slightly dulls the traditional Monte Cristo sweetness. As for the berry jam…it presented the biggest royal challenge. The jam was far too thick to spread easily or to use for dipping. While it tasted fine, our group preferred the sandwich without it. Earl of Sandwich has been leaning into dipping sauces lately, but this one won’t be winning any culinary crowns.
Overall, the Monte Cristo Sandwich Disney Springs offering leans far more savory than sweet. It fulfills its assignment with flavor and creativity but doesn’t quite reach royal status in the Monte Cristo kingdom.
