We reviewed the Terra Treats fall treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom: the $8.99 Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae and the $8.79 Fall Cookie Dough Sandwich.

After lunch at the Diamond Horseshoe Lounge in Magic Kingdom (get the full details in the Diamond Horseshoe Lounge review), Main Street Magic’s food reporters made the very reasonable decision to park hop for dessert. The destination was Terra Treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where two Terra Treats fall desserts were waiting: the Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae and the Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich.

One brought Halloween-like decorations and cookies-and-cream goodness. The other gave a familiar favorite a sprinkle-covered fall makeover. We tried both, shared both, and the only logical next activity was rest.

The Review

Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae

This sundae looked adorable before anyone picked up a spoon. The toppings gave it a little graveyard-inspired look, almost like a Halloween dirt cake. The waffle bowl had a chocolate-dipped, sprinkle-covered rim, and the cookie, candy bone, and pumpkin made the whole thing feel festive.

Thankfully, it tasted as good as it looked. The cookies-and-cream ice cream was delicious, with cookie pieces and chocolate adding plenty of texture. Between the ice cream and all those toppings, there was something fun in practically every bite. The tombstone-style chocolate cookie was soft, while the sugar bone added a different kind of candy crunch.

One especially pleasant surprise was the waffle bowl. Those bowls sometimes get chewy in Florida’s humidity, but this one was crisp and crunchy. A small victory against the weather, and the food reporters will take it.

This was also a dessert that delivered exactly what its description promised. No mysterious flavor twist or anything unexpected, just a really good cookies-and-cream sundae dressed for Halloween. On a hot day, that hit the spot.

The verdict: Both reporters enthusiastically recommend it, and it’s the standout of this dessert stop. If cookies and cream is your thing, this is an easy pick.

The Review

Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich

Anyone who has tried Terra Treats’ popular regular cookie dough ice cream sandwich will recognize this seasonal version. Based on the tasting, the fall sprinkles were the main change, and a favorite wearing its autumn outfit is always welcome.

The cookie dough, brownie, and vanilla ice cream make this a rich dessert, with chocolate chips adding texture and visible sea salt flakes finishing it off. Our two food reporters didn’t share the same level of cookie dough enthusiasm. One loved it, while the other liked it without being quite as devoted. That is the beauty of sharing: someone is usually happy to take another bite.

The Terra Treats fall cookie dough version earned praise for avoiding the overly sweet, raw-dough quality that can make some versions less enjoyable. Paired with the ice cream and brownie, it made for a satisfying treat.

The biggest practical tip is to eat this sandwich with a spoon. It was soft enough to scoop, and that was much easier than picking it up and hoping for the best. There are enough opportunities to wear your dessert in Florida without volunteering.

The verdict: Worth ordering, especially for fans of the original. Think of it as a familiar favorite with festive sprinkles, not a completely different dessert.

Which Terra Treats Fall Dessert Should You Order?

Both are recommended, but the Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae earned the strongest praise during this visit. The cookies-and-cream ice cream, playful toppings, and genuinely crunchy waffle bowl made it a delicious Halloween treat.

The Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich is a good choice for anyone craving that richer combination of brownie, cookie dough, and ice cream. Its seasonal update is simple, but sometimes a handful of fall sprinkles is all the excuse a dessert fan needs.

Tips Before You Go

  • Sharing worked well, especially after a full lunch. Splitting lets two guests try both desserts without committing to an entire dessert apiece.
  • Plan on a spoon for the cookie dough sandwich.
  • Both desserts were seasonal offerings at the time of the visit, so check the posted menu for current availability.
  • Terra Treats does not accept Dining Plan meals, so budget for these as out-of-pocket snacks.

Would the food reporters park hop for dessert again? That question has already answered itself.
