Learn the Art of the Strange
For those looking to get hands-on, the Oddities and Curiosities Expo Tampa also offers special ticketed classes. Students can sign up for a day-long taxidermy class in Tampa, the Jackalope Taxidermy Class on Saturday, November 22nd, for $225. There will also be a beginner Beetles and Spiders Entomology Class on Sunday, November 23rd, for $150. All classes are hosted by Heather Clark of The Sleeping Sirens and use sustainably sourced specimens. It is important to note the expo’s ethical commitment: All animals used in the classes and displayed as preserved specimens died of natural causes.
