Swifties, rejoice! The Taylor Swift Cupcake is now available at Disney Springs, making it the perfect dessert to enjoy on your Disney trip. However, it is only around through the weekend. So, Taylor Swift fans need to hurry to give this one a try.
In a previous blog, we mentioned that a special Taylor Swift cupcake would be arriving at Sprinkles Disney Springs. Well, the Chai Sugar Showgirl cupcake is available this weekend only. It costs seven dollars. This cupcake, according to Sprinkles, consists of ” Chai spiced cake lined with an orange sugar cookie crust, topped with vanilla buttercream, and finished with orange sanding sugar. With “Party of a Showgirl” releasing in theatres October 3-5, this seasonal Sprinkles cupcake flavor makes an excellent treat before or after seeing the movie.
What Did We Think of the Taylor Swift Cupcake from Sprinkles Disney Springs?
In fairness, our food reporter does not fit the proper demographic to be a “Swiftie.” However, they know cupcakes! This one utilizes sanding sugar for a more spectacular superstar-level cupcake worthy of Taylor Swift. The cupcake also comes with the usual amount of buttercream icing on top. The intended “Orange” appearance works very well.
The chai-spiced cake offers a distinct flavor that we usually don’t encounter at Sprinkles- in a good way. This will not taste like your average Walt Disney World cupcake. That may throw off some guests. If so, make sure to add more buttercream to the bite to balance it out. Additionally, all the individual flavors bring above-average quality. However, in Sprinkles’ attempt to design a cupcake worthy of Taylor Swift, they threw many components together worthy of a showgirl!
That “showgirl” level of cupcake will not be a favorite of most guests. In simple terms, it is not bad. The unique combination of components targets a more narrow group of people than standard theme park diners.
The best part of this cupcake involves the way the buttercream and spiced cake base merge. However, the sanding sugar and orange sugar cookie crust fail to stand out. Nonetheless, this Taylor Swift Cupcake will make a nice treat to celebrate the latest works for “Swifties” to enjoy this weekend.
