Salt & Straw Halloween 2026 is here with five spooky flavors, including The Great Candycopia, Witch’s Brew, and a vegan chocolate treat. Also, we have some explaining to do.

Earlier this week, Salt & Straw teased its upcoming Halloween lineup with five sets of emojis and challenged fans to decode the flavors. We took the bait, put on our imaginary detective hats and tried to figure out what was coming.

We got three right. However, also got two spectacularly wrong. Now that the official lineup is revealed, we can finally put the guessing game behind us and take a look at the Salt & Straw Halloween 2026 collection coming to scoop shops beginning Friday, September 25.

Salt & Straw’s rotating menus regularly bring back popular seasonal flavors alongside new creations, and the Halloween Series continues that tradition with three returning favorites and two flavors that were definitely better hidden behind emojis than we gave them credit for. Salt & Straw’s current Apple Series is still listed as the September collection, with the new Halloween lineup following the seasonal transition.

So About Those Two Bad Guesses

Let’s get this out of the way first. Our earlier teaser article correctly predicted The Great Candycopia, Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread and Creepy Crawly Critters. Three out of five. Not bad, right?

Then we got to this:

🧙 + 🔮 + 🍇 + 🥤

We confidently guessed Double Bubble Toil & Trouble. The actual answer is Witch’s Brew Fruit Punch Sherbet. We would like to blame the crystal ball.

Then there was:

🍫 + 🪦 + 🍪 + 🩸

We decided this had to be Dracula’s Blood Pudding. That was a former Salt & Straw Halloween flavor, so it made sense. Instead, Salt & Straw gave us Chocolate Graveyard Cookie Crumble. In retrospect, chocolate, graveyard, and cookie were literally sitting there in the emojis. The blood drop apparently just sent us running in the wrong direction. So, congratulations to everyone who figured those two out. We did not. Now let’s talk about the actual Salt & Straw Halloween 2026 lineup.

Salt & Straw Halloween 2026: The Great Candycopia

The Great Candycopia is back, giving Salt & Straw fans another chance to turn a Halloween candy haul into ice cream. This returning favorite starts with salted butterscotch ice cream and is loaded with homemade Halloween candies inspired by classic trick-or-treat favorites. Previous versions have included homemade takes on Kit Kats, Reese’s, Snickers, and Heath Bars, with crunchy and chocolatey elements throughout.

The name pretty much tells you what you are getting. This is Salt & Straw taking the idea of the ultimate Halloween candy stash and putting it into a scoop.

Our 🏆 + 🍬 + 🍫 + 🍭 prediction was one of the three times our emoji detective work actually worked. We are still counting it.

Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread

Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread is another returning Halloween favorite. This flavor combines pumpkin spice ice cream with pieces of pumpkin bread and whipped cream cheese frosting. The pumpkin spice base features a blend of warm spices, while the pumpkin bread and frosting provide the baked-good component that makes this feel like a slice of pumpkin bread transformed into a frozen dessert.

The 🎃 + 🍞 emojis probably made this one the easiest flavor in the entire teaser to identify. Sometimes the answer really is exactly what it looks like.

Creepy Crawly Critters

Salt & Straw is once again giving adventurous ice cream fans the opportunity to eat their bugs. Creepy Crawly Critters features green matcha ice cream with a splash of fresh orange juice, plus coconut-toffee-candied mealworms and chocolate-covered crickets from Don Bugito. Yes, those are actual edible insects. The combination of matcha, orange, and the crunchy candied critters makes this one of the most unusual flavors in the Halloween Series, which is exactly why it fits Salt & Straw so well.

Our 👻 + 🦗 + 🪱 + 🍵 prediction was another correct call. We want to remind everyone of that before discussing the other two.

Witch’s Brew Fruit Punch Sherbet

So, now we arrive at the flavor that defeated us. Witch’s Brew Fruit Punch Sherbet is a new addition. Rather than the bubble-gum inspired flavor we predicted, Salt & Straw is bringing a fruity sherbet inspired by the classic Halloween punch concept.

The name fits the emoji clues considerably better now that we know the answer. The witch points toward the “Witch’s Brew” name, while the colorful fruit and drink imagery points toward fruit punch and sherbet. It also gives the Halloween lineup something different from all the rich, baked, and chocolate-heavy flavors. The sherbet should provide a fruit-forward option alongside the pumpkin, candy, chocolate, and matcha flavors.

So, yes, we saw the witch. Sure, we saw the drink. Still, we just apparently decided they meant Double Bubble Toil & Trouble. Moving on…

Salt & Straw Halloween 2026: Chocolate Graveyard Cookie Crumble (Vegan)

The fifth flavor is Chocolate Graveyard Cookie Crumble, and this one is vegan. This chocolate-focused Halloween creation combines a rich chocolate base with cookie crumble and a graveyard-inspired presentation. The result is Salt & Straw’s take on a classic Halloween graveyard dessert, bringing together chocolate and crunchy cookie elements in a completely plant-based frozen treat.

Now we understand the emoji combination:

🍫 + 🪦 + 🍪 + 🩸

• Chocolate.
• Graveyard.
• Cookie.

We somehow saw “blood” and immediately started talking about Dracula. Our apologies to the tombstone. The vegan option also gives the Salt & Straw Halloween 2026 lineup a dairy-free choice for guests who want to join the seasonal fun without the dairy.

The first three flavors are familiar faces from Salt & Straw’s Halloween history, while Witch’s Brew Fruit Punch Sherbet and Chocolate Graveyard Cookie Crumble bring new options to this year’s collection. Previous Salt & Straw Halloween menus have similarly mixed returning favorites with new seasonal creations.

The lineup officially arrives Friday, September 25. For Orlando area visitors, the Salt & Straw location at Disney Springs is at 1502 E. Buena Vista Drive and is currently listed as open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

How Long Will Salt & Straw Halloween 2026 Last?

This is where we want to put a little asterisk next to the calendar. We expect the Salt & Straw Halloween 2026 flavors to stick around through approximately November 5, based on the company’s rotating seasonal schedule. However, that is our expectation, not a guarantee from Salt & Straw.

The flavors could disappear earlier. In fact, we would not be surprised if the Halloween Series ends around October 30 to make room for the next seasonal collection. Salt & Straw regularly rotates its limited-time menus, and the company itself describes its offerings as a monthly rotating menu series.

If you’re set on The Great Candycopia, Creepy Crawly Critters, or one of the two new flavors, we don’t recommend waiting until November 5 and assuming they will still be available. Limited-time ice cream has a nasty habit of becoming former limited-time ice cream.

The Final Score on Our Emoji Predictions

Okay, maybe we are not up five games to none. Let’s review.

Three out of five isn’t terrible. We are just going to conveniently ignore the fact that the two we missed were the two most interesting clues. The important thing is that the guessing is over. The Salt & Straw Halloween 2026 lineup is official, and all five flavors will begin their Halloween run Friday, September 25. At least now. we actually know what they are.
