Is the Blackened Shrimp Po’ Boy at the 2026 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival worth it? We review the flavor, price, and that spicy Cajun rémoulade.

The park’s landscape is defined by over 70 Disney-themed topiaries, including new displays like the Toy Story exhibit at the park entrance. Beyond the greenery, the Outdoor Kitchens offer garden-fresh small plates and specialty beverages across more than 20 locations.
Entertainment is anchored by the Garden Rocks Concert Series at the America Gardens Theatre. Between the Garden Graze food stroll and immersive gardens like Butterfly Landing, the festival offers a multisensory experience that proves Epcot is truly in its prime during the spring bloom.

Of course, the Epcot festival food options remain as our main reason to visit this time of year. The 2026 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is officially in full bloom, and while the topiaries are stunning, we all know the real reason we’re trekking around World Showcase: the food. This year, Magnolia Terrace at The American Adventure pavilion has introduced a brand-new contender to the festival lineup: the Blackened Shrimp Po’ Boy. Is it a bloom or a bust?
The Bayou Hits the Promenade with the Blackened Shrimp Po’ Boy

The Magnolia Terrace booth has long been a reliable spot for comfort food, and the Po’ boy fits right into that “backyard bayou” vibe. The dish consists of blackened shrimp topped with lettuce, tomato, and a healthy drizzle of Cajun rémoulade.
The Flavor Breakdown

First, let’s talk about the star of the show: the shrimp. They were surprisingly well-seasoned with a nice “snap” that suggests they weren’t sitting under a heat lamp for an eternity. The blackening seasoning provides a mild, smoky heat that builds slowly rather than blowing your palate out for the rest of the day.
The Cajun rémoulade is the MVP here. It’s creamy, tangy, and has just enough kick to tie the seafood and veggies together. However, we did notice a bit of a “bread-to-shrimp” ratio issue. The roll is fluffy on the inside and has a decent crust, but it’s quite large for the three shrimp you’re likely to find tucked inside. If you aren’t a fan of a “bready” sandwich, you might find yourself picking the shrimp out and eating them solo.

Also, despite the big piece of bread, the contents of the Epcot Flower & Garden sandwich struggle to stay within. If you order this, plan on napkins and maybe a fork to pick up the carnage from each bite.
Is It Worth Your Epcot Flower & Garden Festival Budget?

At $7.49, this is a middle-of-the-road festival spend. It’s a bit more substantial than a single scallop or a slider, but it lacks the “wow” factor of some of the more artistic dishes found near the front of the park.
