Review: Morris’s Mac-nificent Mac & Cheese Cone at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous

Morris’s Mac-nificent Mac & Cheese Cone has replaced the Magician Meatball Cone at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous. Here’s our review plus what to know before you visit.

Seuss Landing’s signature filled cone has a new resident. Morris’s Mac-nificent Mac & Cheese Cone landed on the menu at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous in mid to late July 2026, taking over the spot held by the Magician Meatball Cone (pasta marinara and homemade meatballs served inside a garlic bread cone). We stopped in on a recent visit to Universal Islands of Adventure to try it, and here’s everything you need to know before you order one for yourself.
Clearing Up the Cone Confusion

Since Universal Epic Universe opened, we’ve noticed some guests assuming that any filled cone at a Universal park should look and behave like the savory cones served at Isle of Berk. That’s not the case at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous. The cones here have always been served on a plate rather than held in hand, and that’s simply how this Seuss themed location does it. We’d expect nothing less from a restaurant built around the whimsical, slightly topsy turvy world of Dr. Seuss.
It’s also worth noting that this style predates Universal Epic Universe entirely. The Magician Meatball Cone was on the Circus McGurkus menu at Universal Orlando Resort well before Universal Epic Universe ever opened its gates, plated cone and all. So if you’re expecting a handheld experience like Isle of Berk’s offerings, adjust those expectations. If you should know better as an experienced theme park person, and act upset about it, that is on you! At Circus McGurkus, the plated presentation is a feature, not a shortcut, and in our experience it actually works in guests’ favor.
What’s Inside Morris’s Mac-nificent Mac & Cheese Cone

Morris’s Mac-nificent Mac & Cheese Cone features a fresh-baked bread cone filled with creamy cheddar cavatappi pasta, hand-breaded buffalo chicken nuggets, and a drizzle of ranch sauce. It’s priced at $19.99 and named for Little Morris McGurk, the young dreamer from Dr. Seuss’s If I Ran the Circus, the book that inspired the entire restaurant. Universal Orlando Resort annual passholder discounts do apply.
Since it’s served on a plate rather than eaten straight out of a handheld cone, guests end up with a noticeably larger portion size than what you’d get from a true walking snack. That’s one of the built-in advantages of the Circus McGurkus format, and it’s a big part of why this entree feels like a satisfying quick service meal rather than a between rides snack.
Morris’s Mac-nificent Mac & Cheese Cone: How It Tastes

The portion size is generous (for a theme park quick-service meal), and the cavatappi pasta is well prepared for a quick service kitchen, holding its texture instead of turning mushy under the sauce. The buffalo chicken nuggets are standard theme park breaded chicken, nothing fancy, but reliable. The buffalo sauce brings real flavor to the dish without much actual heat, which tracks with our experience at Florida theme parks in general, where spice levels tend to stay guest-friendly rather than authentic. If you’re hoping for a genuine kick, temper your expectations, but if you want a flavorful, kid friendly comfort food meal, this one delivers.
Before You Visit Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous

A few practical notes before you plan a stop at this Seuss Landing counter service restaurant.
- Mobile ordering is the preferred way to order here. Using the Universal Orlando Resort app to order from your table is faster than waiting in line at the counter, and it’s how most regular visitors get their food these days.
- Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous typically closes at 5 p.m. most days. Plan lunch or an early dinner here rather than counting on it for a late night meal.
- The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! actually passes directly through the restaurant. It’s a fun surprise for first time visitors and a detail worth pointing out to kids while you eat.

Morris’s Mac-nificent Mac & Cheese Cone is a worthy successor to the Magician Meatball Cone, delivering a generous, well- prepared plate at a Seuss Landing location that continues to lean into its storybook theming. Order ahead through the mobile app, keep the 5 p.m. closing time in mind, and watch for the trolley as it rolls through the dining room.
