What’s up, Doc? This time the answer is doughnuts. Krispy Kreme officially announced its Looney Tunes collection this morning, and the Looney Tunes Krispy Kreme doughnuts arrive Tuesday, October 6, at participating shops. This time, though, the Looney Tunes are enjoying spooky season.
Bugs Bunny has spent decades outsmarting everyone around him, and the Tasmanian Devil has spent just as long eating anything that holds still. Hence, a limited-time box of doughnuts feels like the most dangerous crossover in cartoon history. Of course, this time it is Halloween season for Bugs and the gang.
What Is in the Looney Tunes Krispy Kreme Collection?
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6, for a limited time at participating shops across the U.S., the new Looney Tunes Halloween Collection brings Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Sylvester, Taz, and Lola Bunny to the Krispy Kreme doughnut case. This time they are dressed up for Halloween and ready to make spooky season a whole lot sweeter:
- Bugs Bunny Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with chocolate dulce Kreme, dipped in red dulce icing and topped with chocolate drizzles, bat sprinkles and a Bugs Bunny Vampire sugar piece.
- Tweety and Sylvester Doughnut – an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in candy corn flavored icing and confetti sprinkle, topped with a Tweety & Sylvester Pumpkin sugar piece.
- Taz Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with OREO cookies & Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing and OREO pieces and topped with green icing drizzles and a Taz Mummy sugar piece.
- Lola Bunny Doughnut – an Original Glazed doughnut with a purple buttercreme flavored swirl, gold stars, and a Lola Bunny sugar piece.
When Can You Buy the Looney Tunes Krispy Kreme Doughnuts?
The Looney Tunes Halloween Collection is available in-shop and for pickup or delivery via Krispy Kreme’s app and website. Guests can also enjoy some of the doughnuts in the collection in a Krispy Kreme 6-pack delivered fresh to select retailers. We have not tasted these yet. Character collections can lean heavily on decoration, so the real question is whether the doughnut underneath lives up to the hype. If you are a collector or you want the photo, grab one early. If you just want a great doughnut, a single of your favorite character is a safer bet than committing to a full dozen on day one.
Bugs Bunny has been dodging hunters for decades, and Taz has been eating his way through the Looney Tunes universe just as long. Krispy Kreme just handed them both a box. That’s all, folks, at least until the next Krispy Kreme announcement.
