Our Visit to Legoland

We were invited to visit Legoland Florida for Lego Ninjago Weekends. The theme park resort provided admission and vouchers to try the Lego Ninjago Weekend-themed food. Those food items were:

  • Matcha Arts Apple Fries: Granny’s Apple Fries served with matcha soft serve ice cream and topped with toasted coconut, mini mochi, and green sprinkles. Served at Granny’s Apple Fries.
  • Balanced Bao Bun: Two steamed bao buns filled with crispy tempura chicken coated in Japanese BBQ sauce and topped with fresh cucumbers, carrots, cilantro, chopped peanuts, and spicy mayo. Served at Kick’n Chicken.

We will create a theme park dining review blog about these limited-time offerings to be published soon. By the way, did you know we publish theme park dining reviews every weekday at noon Eastern Time? Okay, back to the trip report…

Also, during our visit, the weather was cold – at least for central Florida. Still, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the “model citizens.” At Legoland Florida, the official, thematic name for all staff is model citizens, emphasizing their part in the park’s story.

What to Expect at Lego Ninjago Weekends

We learned there is plenty to do for groups with children ages three to around 12 years old. Overall, with the special entertainment being included with standard park admission, this makes a great value. We heard many groups making a full weekend out of it by staying at one of the on-site Legoland Florida Resort hotels.

Whip Around Dance Party

Based on our visit, we learn of many aspects of this event. Lego Ninjago Weekends features immersive, family-friendly activities located throughout the park, making it easy for guests to enjoy the event alongside Legoland Florida’s regular attractions.

Whip Around Dance Party

Ninja Training and Live Shows
Guests can put their skills to the test through interactive challenges and live shows inspired by the Lego Ninjago universe. These performances emphasize movement, teamwork, and audience participation.

Lego Ninjago Character Meet-and-Greets
One of the most popular parts of the event is the chance to meet fan-favorite Lego Ninjago characters, including Lloyd, Sora, and Arin. These meet-and-greets offer excellent photo opportunities and are a highlight for younger visitors.

Path of the Ninja Interactive Experience
The Path of the Ninja activity invites guests to complete a series of stations throughout the park. Participants collect stickers along the way and receive a special recognition once the path is complete.

Creative Lego Building Activities
Hands-on building stations allow guests to contribute to a large group build celebrating 15 years of Lego Ninjago. These areas provide a relaxed, creative break from rides while keeping the theme front and center.

Dance Parties and Surprise Entertainment
Throughout the day, pop-up dance parties and surprise entertainment moments keep the energy high and add to the festive atmosphere of Lego Ninjago Weekends.

Lego Ninjago Weekends are scheduled for the remaining select dates in early 2026, including:

  • January 24
  • January 31
  • February 7
  • February 14 and 15

No separate event ticket is required. Standard Legoland Florida admission and most annual passes include access to all Lego Ninjago Weekend activities.

Tickets and Planning Tips

Since Lego Ninjago Weekends are included with park admission, weekends may be busier than usual. Arriving early can help guests experience popular activities and character meet-and-greets with shorter waits. Visitors should always check the official Legoland Florida calendar before arriving, as operating hours and show schedules may vary by date.

Turn It Into a Weekend Getaway

Families looking to extend the fun can book a stay at one of Legoland Florida’s on-site hotels. Select rooms feature Lego and Lego Ninjago theming, allowing the ninja adventure to continue even after leaving the park. On-site hotel guests may also receive early park access, which can be especially helpful during event weekends.
