On June 1, as some of us were driving away from Epcot, Halloween Horror Nights posted on social media that “Five Nights at Freddy’s” would be coming to HHN 2025 in Orlando and Hollywood. However, it took a significant amount of time before Halloween Horror Nights fans received an official announcement about “Five Nights at Freddy’s” being a part of the 2025 event.

While well-sourced rumors suggest that the HHN 2025 announcement was premature, it happened anyway. That left Halloween Horror Nights fans wondering if this Blumhouse property would be a house or something else for the event. However, HHN fans learned in early June that “Five Nights at Freddy’s” would be a house! This followed many months of rumors circulating that “Five Nights at Freddy’s” would be featured as a Halloween Horror Nights house, with well-connected sources stating this. So, what is it? Will it be more than just a house?

The Wait for “Five Nights at Freddy’s” fans

Following a potential early leak about Five Nights at Freddy’s coming to HHN 2025, many weeks passed before the official announcement was made. In fact, the official trailer for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” released on the morning of July 24 before any official Halloween Horror Nights announcement about the property.

Halloween Horror Nights has finally confirmed that “Five Nights at Freddy’s” will be a HHN house on both coasts. In a press release, they stated:

Guests will fight to survive as they venture through an all-new haunted house inspired by the 2023 hit film “Five Nights at Freddy’s,”Blumhouse’s highest-grossing movie to date and an adaptation of the horror videogame phenomenon.

Guests will follow in the footsteps of Mike, who was recently fired and desperate for work so that he can keep custody of his little sister, after he agrees to accept a position as a night security guard in an abandoned themed entertainment center: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. The terror will start as guests navigate the corridors and learn that nothing at Freddy’s is what it seems when they encounter the supernatural and become lured into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.

The journey will bring guests face-to-face with full-scale replicas of the eerie characters from the film—Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and Mr. Cupcake—as they stalk visitors through iconic scenes, including the security room and the showroom where the chilling characters performed. The larger-than-life characters for the haunted houses were created in collaboration with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, who also masterfully produced the animatronics and corresponding costumes for the fan-favorite film.

“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2”

The FNAF sequel releases in theatres on December 5, 2025. “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” is the anticipated sequel to the 2023 horror film based on the popular video game franchise. Picking up after the events of the first movie, the sequel dives deeper into the dark mythology of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, introducing fan-favorite animatronics like Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, and The Puppet. As a new night guard takes on the graveyard shift, the mystery surrounding the missing children and the sinister animatronics intensifies.

The sequel promises more jump scares, more profound lore, and a stronger connection to the game’s complex timeline. Directed by Emma Tammi and produced by Blumhouse, “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” brings expectations that it will blend suspenseful storytelling with the eerie nostalgia that fans love. Halloween Horror Nights 2025 in Orlando will have four traditional scare zones that include:

It will also feature a party zone and some aspects of zombies at Mel’s Die-In.
