If you’ve spent any time on the West Side of Disney Springs, you’ve likely been lured in by the scent of yeast and sugar wafting from Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. For those unfamiliar, if you want to feel your pulse in your teeth, head to Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. They serve “gourmet” donuts the size of your head (okay, maybe not that large), like the Peanut Butter Explosion or the vegan Purple Glazed Ube. Pro tip: You can get a grilled cheese sandwich on a griddled glazed donut. Your heart might skip a beat—partly from love, mostly from the sheer audacity of it.

Everglazed Donuts Disney Springs

While many flock here for “The Funky Bunch,” those massive, over-the-top yeast donuts topped with everything from cereal to bacon, there is a new kid in town. The Red Velvet Cake Donut arrived on the Everglazed menu this week. Does it deserve your attention? By the way, this new donut came out around the same time as the Blueberry Pop-Tart Donut release to celebrate the five-year anniversary of Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew at Disney Springs, for a very short time,

The Breakdown: Texture and Flavor

Unlike the airy, pillowy yeast donuts Everglazed is famous for, the Red Velvet is a cake-based donut. This means it’s denser, more substantial, and has a tighter crumb.

  • The Base: The donut itself strikes that perfect red velvet balance—a hint of cocoa mixed with a slight tang. It isn’t overly dry, which is often the downfall of cake donuts in the Florida heat. It’s moist enough to eat without a drink, though it practically begs for a cold brew pairing. However, some guests will find it a bit too dry. Please remember this is a cake donut, not the usual soft, fluffy yeast donut at Everglazed.
  • The Glaze: It is topped with a classic cream cheese frosting that manages to be rich without being overwhelming. The tanginess of the cream cheese cuts through the sugar, making it feel a bit more sophisticated than your average frosted treat. could might use a bit of buttercream icing on top. Still, if that were added, then the price would increase!
  • The Visuals: True to its name, the deep crimson hue is vibrant, and the white frosting creates a striking contrast, making it another of the more “Instagrammable” items in the display case.

Everglazed Red Velvet Donut: Price and Value

Everglazed Red Velvet Donut

At $4.95, the Red Velvet Cake Donut sits in the “Classic” price tier. While $5 for a single donut might seem steep elsewhere, in the context of Disney Springs and compared to the $6.95 “Super Funky” options, it feels like a solid value for the size and quality. Annual pass discounts do apply along with other discounts, so check with the team member when ordering.

Everglazed Red Velvet Donut: Nosh or Not?

Disney Springs

Nosh! If you prefer a sturdier donut with a classic flavor profile rather than a sugar-bomb topped with candy, this is the one to get. It’s a refined choice in a shop known for its wilder creations. Still, guests have so many options at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, so that everyone can be happy here!
