Coconut Rice & Beans at the SeaWorld Orlando Seven Seas Food Festival 2026 disappoints with small portions and low value. Here’s why to skip it.

At the Seven Seas Food Festival 2026 at SeaWorld Orlando, guests can explore a wide range of global flavors while enjoying one of the park’s most popular seasonal events. Running through May 17 on Thursdays through Sundays, the festival features many food booths, many of which offer rotating menu items throughout the event. However, some dishes stick around for the full run, including the Coconut Rice & Beans, which unfortunately overstays its welcome.

The Caribbean Market at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival 2026 brings island flavors to the waterfront with a menu that rotates throughout the season. Guests can enjoy staples like Coconut Rice & Beans or satisfy a sweet tooth with the Pineapple Upside Down Cake.

The savory offerings feature a rotating schedule: Chicken Pinchos kicked off the festival, followed by the current Beef Ropa Vieja (it was available through April 12), and concluding with Jamaican Beef Patties starting April 13. Refreshing pairings include the Rum Runner, a Coconut Mojito, or a non-alcoholic Coconut Limeade, making it a vibrant stop for tropical fare.
Coconut Rice & Beans: A Full-Season Dish That Falls Flat

Unlike SeaWorld Orlando limited-time offerings that build hype and anticipation, the Coconut Rice & Beans has been available since day one of the festival. While that might suggest it’s a reliable staple, the reality is far less exciting.
Priced at $11.99, the portion size is immediately disappointing. Guests are given a small serving of rice with a modest amount of beans and a light addition of coconut milk. The rice itself is below average, lacking strong seasoning or texture, while the beans feel sparse and uninspired.
The one redeeming element is the coconut milk, which adds a mild sweetness that helps round out the dish slightly. However, that sweetness isn’t enough to carry the overall experience. The flavors never quite come together in a meaningful way, leaving this dish feeling bland and forgettable.
Sampler Lanyards: The Only Way This Makes Sense

If you’re planning to visit the Seven Seas Food Festival, sampler lanyards are almost essential. These prepaid tasting packages allow guests to sample multiple dishes at a reduced per-item cost, making them the best way to maximize value at the event. For example, the 15-item version costs $89.99 with the SeaWorld annual pass member version containing 18 samples.
In the case of the Coconut Rice & Beans, a sampler lanyard is the only scenario where trying this dish even remotely makes sense. Paying $11.99 out of pocket for such a small, underwhelming portion is simply not good value. Even when using a lanyard punch, though, this item still ranks low compared to other festival offerings. With a limited number of samples available, every choice matters, and this is not one worth prioritizing.
Better Options to Try Instead

The good news is that SeaWorld Orlando delivers plenty of strong options throughout the festival. Instead of settling for the Coconut Rice & Beans, guests should consider dishes that offer more flavor, better portions, and a more memorable experience.
Look for items like:
These types of offerings consistently outperform simpler dishes like the Coconut Rice & Beans and provide a much better return on your time, money, and appetite.
Seven Seas Food Festival Coconut Rice & Beans

The Coconut Rice & Beans is one of the missteps at the Seven Seas Food Festival. While the coconut milk adds a pleasant hint of sweetness, it’s not enough to overcome the small portion size, lackluster rice, and minimal beans.
At $11.99, the value isn’t there, especially when compared to the many other standout dishes available throughout the event. Even with a sampler lanyard, this item falls near the bottom of the must-try list. Needless to say, we did not enjoy this dish, and we strongly recommend skipping it in favor of the festival’s many better options.
