Chef Selects City Works is back with Korean Smash Tacos, the Banana Painkiller, and more inventive seasonal bites through late summer.

Starting July 16, City Works Eatery & Pour House at Disney Springs is spicing up the summer with a fresh wave of limited-time dishes and drinks under its seasonal Chef Selects menu program. These offer bold flavors and inventive twists designed to beat the heat and please adventurous palates.
Located on the West Side of Disney Springs, City Works Eatery & Pour House is no stranger to seasonal culinary flair. Known for its elevated take on classic American comfort food and its impressive lineup of local and global craft beers, this vibrant gastropub is once again showcasing the creativity of its kitchen with a new round of Chef Selects menu items, available for a limited time starting July 16. These will replace the previous Chef Select menu items.
Chef Selects
The new Chef Selects limited-time menu items include:

- Elote Corn Ribs – Fresh corn, chili-lime crema, queso fresco, tajín, micro cilantro
- Korean Smash Tacos – Smashed beef patties with gochujang glaze, kimchi, miso aioli, green onion, sesame seeds in a flour tortilla
- Boozy Cream Soda – Wheatley Vodka, Frangelico, Sprite
- Banana Painkiller – Giffard Banane du Brésil, Myers’s , pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut,
These new items will be around through September 8, 2025.
In addition to the Chef Selects City Works menu, this Disney Springs table service restaurant is offering some Flavors of Florida menu options. For example, we recently tried the South Florida Conch Fritter Cakes. This restaurant always has something new for guests to enjoy.
These exclusive dishes and beverages typically rotate every eight weeks, and these new offerings promise to be among the most exciting yet, with new cocktails and Korean-inspired tacos making their debut. While we have a photo from City Works Eatery & Pour House showing the two new Chef Select beverages, the appetizer, and entree, we only officially know the names of two of the items shown
A Taste of the Tropics: Banana Painkiller

Leading the charge for the summer refresh is the Banana Painkiller, a sunny take on the traditional tiki-style cocktail. While we wait to find out about the exact ingredients contained in this beverage, it sounds very summer-themed. It looks to be a great way to cool off after a day exploring Walt Disney World—or to pair with the spicy notes in some of the new dishes. The Banana Painkiller joins this lineup with a summer-forward spin that balances sweetness with island vibes.
Korean Smash Tacos: A Fusion Powerhouse

We love the new-ish Smashburger Tacos at City Works Eatery & Pour House. Those were introduced along with several new menu items back in late April. We were excited to see a version of those tacos as part of the new Chef Selects Menu offerings, specificallythe Korean Smash Tacos. This inventive dish transforms the smashburger format into a handheld taco-style entrée.
This dish continues City Works’ trend of offering globally inspired comfort food in unexpected ways. The Korean Smash Tacos follow in the footsteps of previous Chef Select items like the Italian Wedge Salad and Crab Mozzarella Sticks, which pushed flavor boundaries while remaining craveable and approachable.
Chef Selects City Works: Limited-Time, Unlimited Flavor

Each Chef Select City Works menu cycle has featured a mix of appetizers, mains, and drinks designed to complement the season. This upcoming lineup appears to build on that foundation, with a focus on summery, crowd-pleasing profiles that pair beautifully with the restaurant’s casual yet lively atmosphere. While full details on all the July 16 additions have yet to be released, guests can expect the same level of creativity and quality that defined past standouts.
What to Expect at City Works This Summer

If you’re planning a visit to Disney Springs this summer, City Works is a must-stop for foodies and craft beer enthusiasts alike. The restaurant offers both indoor and patio seating, multiple TVs for sports fans, and a menu that hits all the right notes. Whether you’re looking for bold entrées, vegetarian-friendly options, or a wide array of rotating local brews, the chefs at City Works Eatery & Pour House have something for you.
With the new Chef Selects City Works menu, guests can pair a Banana Painkiller with the latest Korean Smashburger Tacos for a delightful combo that hits sweet, savory, spicy, and creamy all at once. And don’t forget: these dishes are only available for a limited time, typically about eight weeks, so you’ll want to plan your visit soon to catch them before the next seasonal rotation.
Chef Selects City Works: Returning Favorites?
While each Chefs Selects City Works menu introduces brand-new items, it’s not uncommon for guest-favorite dishes to eventually make their way onto the permanent menu or reappear in future lineups. So if you fall in love with the Banana Painkiller or the Korean Smashburger Tacos, be sure to let the team know. City Works has a history of listening to its loyal diners.
Chef Selects City Works: Final Sip

City Works Eatery & Pour House continues to stand out in Disney Springs’ diverse culinary landscape by celebrating seasonal innovation without sacrificing fun. The new Chefs Selects menu launching July 16 delivers just that: playful, inventive, and bold dishes that celebrate summer flavors with a twist. Be sure to stop by for the latest Chef Selects City Works lineup before it disappears in about eight weeks.
Of course, we plan to visit on July 16 to try the Korean Smashburger Tacos. In fact, we plan to visit City Works Eatery & Pour House twice next week, assuming other theme park or dining-related news does not get in the way.
