Dunkin’ Doomsday Donut Review: We Faced Doctor Doom’s Breakfast So You Don’t Have to Face It Alone

We tried the Dunkin Doomsday Donut, the cotton candy Avenging Donut, hero and villain Munchkins, and the Wakandan Daydream Refresher, which cost $4.99. Yes, we have some thoughts! Also, please forgive us that this weekday noon dining review does not come from a theme park. Still, Avengers: Doomsday at Dunkin’ calls to any Marvel fan. #WakandaForever

Avengers, assemble. Preferably near a drive-thru. Doctor Doom does not arrive in theaters until December, but “Victor von Doom” has already conquered something far more important than Latveria: the Dunkin’ bakery case. The Dunkin Avengers Doomsday menu landed Nov. 4 at participating restaurants nationwide, and we did what any responsible Earth’s Mightiest Snackers would do. We suited up, grabbed a dozen napkins, and put the Dunkin Doomsday Donut and its heroic counterpart to the test.
This review covers the Dunkin Doomsday Donut, the Avenging Donut, the Doomsday & Avenging MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treats, and the Wakandan Daydream Refresher. The six themed drinks deserve their own mission briefing, so we are saving five of them for another day. Of course, we could do this all day. Still, our dentist says we should not!
Dunkin Doomsday Donut: The Quick Facts

- What: Two themed donuts and two themed MUNCHKINS sidekicks tied to Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday
- Where: Participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide
- When: Starting Nov. 4, 2026, for a limited time while supplies last and lasting through December 1, according to the materials seen in stores on November 4.
- Price: Dunkin’ did not list donut prices in its initial announcement. We paid $1.79 per donut / $3.39 for 10 MUNCHKINS at our location; prices vary by market. The Doctor Doom tin is $14.99 with any 25-count MUNCHKINS purchase, which we couldn’t find anywhere. The Wakandan Daydream Refresher was $4.99.
- The movie: Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters Dec. 18, 2026
- Our pick: The Dunkin Doomsday Donut. Doom wins this round.
The Dunkin Doomsday Donut

Doctor Doom has never been one for half measures, and neither is this donut. Dunkin’ brought back its fan-favorite Brownie Batter Donut and gave it the full Latverian treatment: chocolate icing plus green and chocolate sprinkles inspired by Doom’s iconic hood. It is the only donut in this lineup that gets to be a villain, and it plays the part like it has been rehearsing since the Fantastic Four’s first issue.
The first bite is pure supervillain energy. The yeast shell is soft and pillowy, and the brownie batter filling is rich, fudgy, and generous enough to reach the far edge of the donut instead of hiding in one corner like a Skrull. The brownie batter filling is a return of a fan favorite at Dunkin.
The chocolate icing doubles down on the cocoa, and the green sprinkles add a little crunch and a lot of visual menace. You need to be a fan of chocolate for this one. It is sweet, so pair it with a black coffee or an unsweetened cold brew. Doom would never admit he needed a sidekick, but this Dunkin Doomsday Donut does.
Power Level: 4.5 out of 5 Infinity Stones
Is it worthy? If you liked the Brownie Batter Donut the last time it came around, this is the same reliable hero in a new costume. Think Steve Rogers putting on the stealth suit. Same guy, cooler look.
The Avenging Donut

If the Dunkin Doomsday Donut is the villain, the Avenging Donut is the full team-up. It is a cotton candy-filled donut topped with vanilla-flavored icing and red, yellow, and blue sprinkles representing the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four. That is three super teams on one donut, which is more crossover than most MCU Phase Four movies managed. The cotton candy filling is a bright sky blue, which feels very Captain America adjacent.

The Cotton candy filling is a bold choice, like Star-Lord deciding to dance-off with a supervillain. The sky-blue filling tastes exactly like the cotton candy you grab at the county fair: bright, sugary, and a little nostalgic. The vanilla icing keeps things simple, and the sprinkles give it a fun, carnival look that kids will love. For adults, one is plenty. By the last bite, our blood sugar had gone full Hulk. It is a fun novelty, but it does not have the flavor depth of its villainous counterpart.
Power Level: 3 out of 5 Infinity Stones
Who should order it? Young Avengers, cotton candy loyalists, and anyone who thinks Captain America’s shield would make a great cake decorating stencil.
Doomsday & Avenging MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treats

Not ready to commit to a full-size Dunkin Doomsday Donut? Dunkin’ also offers Glazed Chocolate and Buttermilk MUNCHKINS hero and villain makeovers as two bite-sized sides. Think of them as the Ant-Man option: smaller, but surprisingly capable.
These are not lightly sprinkled. The Doomsday MUNCHKINS appear to be chocolate donut holes rolled completely in green and chocolate sprinkles, matching the Doomsday Donut. The Avenging MUNCHKINS appear to be fully coated in red, yellow, and blue sprinkles, so every bite is basically a Quinjet full of confetti.
The villain-side Glazed Chocolate MUNCHKINS were the better of the two, with a cakey chocolate base under a full suit of armor made of green and chocolate sprinkles. The hero-side Buttermilk MUNCHKINS were classic Dunkin’ comfort food, though the heavy sprinkle coat adds a lot of crunch and sugar. Neither will change your life, but both are an easy way to try the theme without a full donut commitment, and they are the obvious move if you are sharing with a squad.
The Doctor Doom MUNCHKINS Tin

As mentioned earlier, the Doctor Doom MUNCHKINS tins are tough to find. Most Dunkin’ managers we spoke with in Florida said that most of the Dunkin Avengers Doomsday merchandise had not arrived. We wish you luck and to you luck and using a different movie genre…”May the odds ever be in your favor!”
Collector tip: the tin and the themed tumblers are the items most likely to sell out early, so if you want one, do not wait until the third act.
Wakandan Daydream Refresher

On the drink side, we also ordered the Wakandan Daydream Refresher, Dunkin’s nod to Black Panther. It starts with the Berry Clementine Refresher, adds raspberry flavor and oatmilk, and finishes with a layer of Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam. If that sounds familiar, it should. The Berry Clementine Refresher has been on the menu since the fall lineup arrived in August, and the Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam first showed up on September 30 as part of the Halloween menu. In other words, Wakanda’s finest technology here is mostly a smart remix of what was already behind the counter.
The first sip is all foam, and the marshmallow lands sweet and soft before the fruit comes through underneath. The berry and clementine base is bright and a little tart, and the extra raspberry pushes it further toward candy territory. The oatmilk is what makes this one interesting, turning a normally crisp Refresher into something creamier, almost like a berry dreamsicle. Give it a stir once the foam settles, or the last third of the cup turns into a straight purple sugar rush. It is a good-looking drink too, with the purple foam sitting on top of the pink base in a way that will look great in any photo next to the Doomsday Donut.
Worth It?

Is it worth ordering? If you already like the Berry Clementine Refresher, this is an easy upgrade and the most fun drink in the lineup to look at. If you want something closer to coffee, the Iced Captain’ccino or the Doom Cloud Latte will make more sense. It is sweet enough that we would not pair it with two donuts, but next to a single Dunkin Doomsday Donut or a few Munchkins, it makes for a solid themed snack run. Wakanda Forever, but maybe not every morning.
Hero vs. Villain: The Final Battle

The verdict from this mission: the Dunkin Doomsday Donut wins, and it is not particularly close. Doom gets two drinks, a donut, and a tin in this promotion, and after tasting the lineup, we understand why Dunkin’ gave him top billing.
Dunkin Doomsday Donut: What to Know Before You Go

- Check the app first. Prices were not part of Dunkin’s announcement and vary by market, so the Dunkin’ app or your local shop is the best way to see what your location charges.
- Availability varies. Everything is at participating restaurants while supplies last.
- Go early for collectibles. Besides the tin, the lineup includes $24.99 tumblers, a $14.99 color-changing mug, $19.99 glove cup sleeves, and $8.99 character cup sleeves.
- There is a drink menu, too. Six themed drinks round out the promotion, including the Clobbered Cloud Latte for The Thing and the Wakandan Daydream Refresher for Black Panther.
- The holiday menu lands the same day. Dunkin’s promised November surprise turned out to be its holiday drink lineup, which also launches Nov. 4 with cookie butter and toasted white chocolate flavors, including a Cookie Butter Cloud Latte and a Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte. If your Dunkin’ run feels like a multiverse of menus, that is why.
Dunkin’ is not the only brand suiting up. Check out our look at the Pop Secret Avengers: Doomsday campaign and the Jack in the Box Doomsday Dipping Box for more movie tie-in snacks. Doctor Doom is apparently negotiating with every fast food chain in the multiverse.
Will the Dunkin Doomsday Donut Take Over the Multiverse?

Maybe? Dread it, run from it; the sugar crash arrives all the same. Still, the Dunkin Doomsday Donut is a genuinely good themed donut, built on a proven Brownie Batter base and dressed up just enough to feel special. The Avenging Donut is a fun, very sweet novelty that younger fans will love more than their parents. If you only try one, make it the villain. As for the Doctor Doom tin, if you are a collector, consider it inevitable.
Robert Downey Jr. trading the arc reactor for a green hood is still the wildest casting news in years, and Avengers: Doomsday opens Dec. 18. Until then, we have six weeks of donuts to get through. Whatever it takes!
