The chain has quietly released a Dungeons & Dragons: Mists of Ravenloft 20 Sided Dice Popcorn Bucket, giving tabletop fans a gothic new centerpiece for the shelf even though there isn’t a D&D movie anywhere near a theater right now.
AMC D20 Popcorn Bucket: What AMC Announced
AMC Theatres made it official on X, writing: “Gothic terror awaits in the mists. Grab a DUNGEONS & DRAGONS D20: MISTS OF RAVENLOFT EDITION concession collectible, available now, only in theatres while supplies last.” The bucket first popped up as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive in late July before making the jump to general availability. It’s molded in the shape of a twenty sided die, etched with gothic detailing that leans hard into the Ravenloft aesthetic rather than anything ripped from a movie poster. Fitting, since there isn’t one.
Price, Capacity, and Where to Buy It
The bucket holds a genuinely absurd 130 ounces of popcorn and runs $39.99 through the AMC Theatres Shop, with shipping running an additional $12.99 to $19.99 depending on speed. Orders are capped at three units per customer, and like most AMC exclusives, it’s final sale and non-refundable. Availability in physical theaters is limited to participating locations while supplies last, so don’t count on it still being there after Season of Horror wraps.
Why Ravenloft, Why Now
With no Dungeons & Dragons film in wide release, the timing initially looks random. It isn’t.
