The Double Cheeseburger Combo at The Burger Kitchen offers exactly what many families are looking for during a day at Legoland Florida: a familiar meal that fills you up without stretching the budget beyond what most guests expect to pay inside a theme park. While it isn’t trying to compete with gourmet burger restaurants, it succeeds by delivering a decent burger, toasted bun, and reasonable value in a park designed primarily for younger visitors.

Where is The Burger Kitchen?

Located inside Legoland Florida, The Burger Kitchen serves as one of the park’s primary quick-service dining locations. Families looking for classic American favorites will find burgers, chicken tenders, fries, salads, and drinks. Unlike some of the themed dining venues around the park, The Burger Kitchen focuses on speed and familiar menu options that appeal to both children and adults. One thing guests should know before arriving is that this location almost always feels busy, particularly during lunch hours. Even with the crowds, the ordering process generally keeps moving.

Ordering Your Food

One noticeable trend throughout Legoland Florida is the increasing use of electronic ordering kiosks. At The Burger Kitchen, guests typically place their orders at one of the self-service kiosks before waiting for their number to be called. Mobile ordering is also available, although during our visit we noticed very few guests actually taking advantage of it. Most visitors still appeared to prefer using the kiosks inside the restaurant. The ordering process is simple and usually only takes a minute or two.

Indoor Seating

Above them, digital screens display current order numbers under "Building" and "Ready!", alongside a large sign that reads "PICK UP HERE" with flame graphics for Double Cheeseburger review

Finding a break from the Florida heat is often just as valuable as finding lunch. The Burger Kitchen offers indoor seating, making it a welcome stop on especially hot afternoons. However, the seating is limited so plan wisely.

The restaurant is air conditioned, although we found it noticeably warmer than many other indoor dining locations around Legoland Florida. While it certainly provides relief from the sun, don’t expect the restaurant to feel ice cold. Still, having indoor seating alone makes this one of the more comfortable quick-service options inside the park.

Double Cheeseburger Review at The Burger Kitchen

Price: $16.29

The Double Cheeseburger Combo includes: a double cheeseburger and French fries. At first glance, this looks like a fairly standard theme park burger. Fortunately, appearances can be deceiving.

One pleasant Double Cheeseburger review surprise was that the beef wasn’t cooked into the typical dry, overdone hockey puck that unfortunately shows up at many theme parks. Instead, the burger retained some moisture, making it considerably more enjoyable than expected.

Another small detail that made a noticeable difference was the toasted bun. It’s a simple touch, but one that adds texture and keeps the sandwich from becoming soggy. The burger also includes multiple layers of melted cheese, giving every bite plenty of cheesy flavor.

This isn’t an oversized gourmet burger loaded with specialty toppings. Instead, it’s a straightforward cheeseburger done better than we anticipated. Still, guests should not expect to be amazed by this burger. Legoland Florida is designed for kids, and the menus reflect that.

What About the Fries?

The fries are exactly what you’d expect from a family theme park. The portion size is reasonable, though noticeably smaller than what many guests are accustomed to receiving at other Central Florida theme parks. That said, the fries paired well with the burger and were sufficient for the meal.

Double Cheeseburger Review: Theme Park Value

A close-up view of a hand holding a red-and-white patterned paper tray filled with a double cheeseburger and golden french fries, with a black Burger Kitchen wrapper tucked underneath.

It’s important to judge this meal within the context of where you’re eating. Would we compare it to a local burger restaurant outside the park? Probably not. Still, comparing it against burgers at other Florida theme parks is fair.

At $16.29, the Double Cheeseburger Combo falls within what has become standard pricing for major Florida theme parks. Considering the quality of the burger, toasted bun, generous cheese, and included fries, we felt it represented a fair value.

For comparison, the Double Cheeseburger at Zagora Cafe at Busch Gardens costs several dollars more than this one. However, it offers a slightly better burger. However, the Double Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger at Magic Kingdom costs essentially the same as the one we had during our Legoland Florida Double Cheeseburger review.

Once again, guests should also remember that Legoland Florida is designed primarily for families with young children. That philosophy carries over into the dining program. Meals tend to feature approachable flavors rather than adventurous ingredients, and portion sizes are designed with families in mind, even when adults are the ones ordering.

Double Cheeseburger Review: Is The Burger Kitchen Worth Visiting?

Are you looking for a dependable quick-service meal that offers familiar food in an air-conditioned dining room? The Burger Kitchen at Legoland Florida is an easy recommendation.

Sure, the Double Cheeseburger isn’t going to rank among Central Florida’s best burgers, but it doesn’t need to. It delivers decent burger patties, a toasted bun, plenty of cheese (though the cheese needs more flavor), and a filling meal at a price that’s in line with today’s theme park standards. Combined with convenient kiosk ordering, indoor seating, and a menu that appeals to nearly every member of the family, The Burger Kitchen remains one of the better places to stop for lunch during a day at Legoland Florida.

For families spending a full day building, riding, and exploring Legoland Florida, the Double Cheeseburger Combo is a solid choice that exceeded our expectations. Sometimes a simple burger done well is exactly what you need before heading back out for another adventure.
