Universal Orlando Resort is celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI) in a delicious way this May, rolling out six limited-time food and beverage offerings across its parks, hotels, and entertainment districts. Available through May 31, 2026, the new menu highlights flavors inspired by cultures across Asia and the Pacific Islands, while also spotlighting the creativity of Universal’s culinary team. From Chinese street food to Thai-inspired cocktails, guests have a full month to snack their way around the resort.

This year’s AANHPI Heritage Month lineup is spread throughout Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Universal CityWalk, and Universal Epic Universe, meaning fans can turn the month into a full-fledged foodie scavenger hunt. Here’s everything on the menu:

Roujiamo at San Fran Street Cart

Located near Lombard’s Seafood Grille in Universal Studios Florida, the Roujiamo brings one of China’s street foods to the park. The sandwich features fragrant braised pork stuffed inside a baijimo bun. Universal’s chefs describe the dish as rooted in traditional flavors while offering guests something they may not expect from a theme park snack cart.

Being from the Philippines, Sous Chef Xerxes Samadan has always been enamored with Asian cuisine. Bringing a new Asian dish to the San Fran Street Cart was no challenge, but he says creating something that would be meaningful to guests was. “If you have a Chinese family, or even someone who is very familiarized with Chinese culture, when they see this dish, they’ll be like, ‘Wow! We can get (Roujiamo) from Universal!’” Chef Xerxes says.

“It is very honorable to be making a dish for the month,” Chef Xerxes says. “We don’t have any Filipino restaurants or Filipino-inspired items in our parks right now, so, this is another way for me, as a Filipino, to put in my cooking techniques.”

Chef Xerxes adds that he’s been working extra hard to be open with and learn more about different Asian cuisines. “Right now, I’ve been really in love with Chinese cuisine, so I’ve been cooking a lot of that, but I still try to put some of my Filipino cuisine in there,” he says. “But one thing I really want to emphasize is that the culture we are trying to give (guests) is very traditional.”

Crispy Bao Mi Buns at Confisco Grille

Over at Universal Islands of Adventure, Confisco Grille is serving Crispy Bao Mi Buns, a fusion creation combining elements of Chinese bao and Vietnamese bánh mì. The dish includes sticky glazed pork belly, chili aioli, cucumber, pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro, and mint tucked into a flash-fried bao bun.

Huli Bao Bun & Islander Boba at Bend the Bao

Three bao buns for theUniversal AANHPI Menu with glazed fried chicken, chopped green onions, and crushed nuts on a white tray.

Universal CityWalk’s Bend the Bao gets two exclusive offerings for the celebration. First, the Huli Bao Bun includes huli huli chicken, coconut slaw, green onions, pineapple-lime glaze, and chopped peanuts. Second, the Islander Boba features black sorrel tea, brown sugar pearls, ginger-sugarcane syrup, calamansi, and a sugarcane stick. It may also be the most photogenic drink of the lineup.

Gochujang Salmon Bites at The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

Also in CityWalk, The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar adds Gochujang Salmon Bites. The appetizer combines salmon with gochujang seasoning, pickled cabbage, green onions, and sesame seeds. Given Cowfish’s existing mashup of burgers and sushi, this seems like a natural fit for the restaurant’s style.

Sabai Manhattan at The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant

Inside Universal Epic Universe, The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant joins the Universal AANHPI menu celebration with the Sabai Manhattan. The cocktail is described as a Thai-inspired twist on the classic Manhattan, blending Thai liqueur, sweet vermouth, honey syrup, ginger powder, and a cherry garnish. Guests must be 21 or older with a valid photo ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.

Universal Orlando has increasingly used seasonal food events and limited-time menus to keep repeat visits fresh, and this celebration continues that trend. It also gives guests a chance to experience dishes and flavors not normally found on standard theme park menus. Instead of another cupcake dyed blue and called “limited edition,” this month’s offerings feel thoughtful, chef-driven, and culturally inspired.

The Universal AANHPI menu runs through May 31, 2026, so these items won’t stick around long. If any of them sound appealing, it may be worth planning a visit sooner rather than later. Once June hits, they could vanish faster than a butterbeer ice cream on a Florida afternoon. Additionally, Universal Orlando Resort passholders have several exclusive menu items to try for passholder days through May 21. Perhaps these limited-time menu items will appease guests when the Universal Orlando Horror Make-Up Show takes a break this month for a refurbishement.
