Morimoto Sake Dinner happens at Disney Springs on May 12, featuring a Fukumitsuya pairing event with a multi-course meal and a premium sake experience.

A unique culinary collaboration is coming to Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs this May, as Fukumitsuya partners with Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto for an exclusive sake dinner experience on Tuesday, May 12. This takes place from 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Fukumitsuya x Morimoto Sake Dinner promises an elevated evening of Japanese cuisine paired with premium sake selections, offering guests a rare opportunity to explore traditional brewing artistry alongside contemporary culinary techniques.
A Collaboration Rooted in Tradition
Founded in 1625, Fukumitsuya is one of Japan’s oldest sake breweries, known for producing high-quality junmai sake using only rice, water, yeast, and koji, without added alcohol. Their commitment to craftsmanship aligns closely with Chef Morimoto’s globally recognized approach to blending authentic Japanese flavors with modern presentation. Chef Morimoto, best known for his appearances on Iron Chef and his growing restaurant empire, has long emphasized the importance of balance and harmony in his dishes, making this pairing dinner a natural fit.
Morimoto Sake Dinner: What Guests Can Expect
The event will feature a multi-course tasting menu curated by Morimoto, with each dish thoughtfully paired with a complementary sake from Fukumitsuya’s portfolio. The experience: $90 per person + tax & gratuity. The menu looks like this:
- Chilean Seabass Age Arare (crispy fried seabass, house-made tartar sauce)
- Shrimp Tofu Shinjo Lobster Ankake (shrimp tofu dumpling, mushroom, lobster sauce)
- Slow-Roasted Beef Brisket (miso demi-glace, crispy yaki onigiri)
- Cold Tantan Noodles (spicy ground pork, creamy sesame broth)
There is also an optional add-on: 400 & 40 anniversary sake 3 oz. pour for $25 with bottle available for purchase: 720 ml and 1800 ml. Space is limited to just 35 guests. Tickets for this event can be purchased online on the Morimoto Asia website.
This intimate dining experience is designed to be both educational and indulgent, appealing to sake enthusiasts and newcomers alike. For fans of Japanese cuisine, sake culture, or Chef Morimoto, this event is shaping up to be one of the season’s standout foodie experiences.
