Jack in the Box is coming to Clermont as part of a massive Central Florida expansion. The new location follows the recent Longwood opening.

It looks like the “Jack” is officially out of the box and heading closer to the Orlando area theme parks. However, in this case, we do not mean Jack the Clown of Halloween Horror Nights fame.
According to a recent report from the Orlando Business Journal, Clermont is next on the list for the San Diego-based fast-food giant, Jack in the Box. As Central Florida continues its rapid growth, national brands are racing to secure a footprint in Lake County, and this latest move signals that the burger chain’s return to the Sunshine State is only getting started.
Jack in the Box Clermont
A local franchisee has reportedly signed a land lease in Clermont, marking a major milestone for the brand’s local expansion. We don’t have an exact address pinned on the map just yet, or even signs of construction crews moving dirt. Still, the intent is clear: Jack in the Box wants a seat at the table in one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States.
In addition, the entrepreneur Ed Zausch is seeking out possible opportunities in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, and Volusia County. According to Zausch’s agreement with Jack in the Box, his territory comprises northeast Orange County, Seminole County, and the Clermont area. Although there isn’t currently an opening timeline for additional locations, Zausch is hopeful about opening a second Jack in the Box by the end of the year.
The Great Florida Comeback

For those unaware, the chain recently made a triumphant return to Florida after a hiatus that lasted more than 30 years. The comeback kicked off in earnest on February 19, 2026, when the first new Florida location opened its doors in Longwood. The response was exactly what you’d expect from a cult-favorite brand: long lines, late-night cravings, and plenty of social media buzz.
The franchisee behind that Longwood success isn’t slowing down. With a 10-store development deal already signed, the goal is to saturate the Greater Orlando area. Clermont is a logical next step in this strategy, bridging the gap between the Orlando metro and the expanding residential communities in Lake County.
What to Expect in Clermont
The franchisee has stated that the current goal is to have another Central Florida location open by the end of 2026. While the Clermont site is still in the early planning stages, the signing of a land lease usually indicates that things are moving behind the scenes. Residents can likely expect a modern build featuring the brand’s latest tech, including integrated digital ordering and drive-thru efficiency—to handle the inevitable opening day rush.
Clermont’s transformation into a hub for national dining brands is a testament to the area’s booming population. Adding Jack in the Box to the mix provides another 24-hour option for locals and those commuting through the area.
