The wait is finally over, space explorers! On February 27, 2026, the countdown hit zero as Legoland Florida Resort officially launched Lego Galaxy. This massive expansion with Lego Galaxy Florida opening marks the park’s first new roller coaster in 15 years and represents one of the most ambitious investments in the resort’s history.
A New Frontier: Galacticoaster
The star of the show is Galacticoaster, an indoor, space-themed family coaster that puts kids in the pilot’s seat. Before hitting the tracks, guests enter the “Customization Bay” to digitally design their own spacecraft. With over 625 possible combinations, your mission is uniquely yours. Once you blast off, you’ll reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour, navigating a vibrant universe filled with immersive lighting, sound, and classic Lego elements.

The grand opening was a star-studded event featuring the first-ever team of Junior Galaxy Explorers, young STEM contest winners who helped kick off the festivities.

Park President Brian Bacica shared the excitement regarding the three-year journey to bring this land to life:
