The Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich at Seven Seas Food Festival 2026 is messy, satisfying, and one of the best festival-wide items at SeaWorld Orlando’s Germany Marketplace.

The Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando started on January 30. It runs through May 17 on Thursdays through Sundays. We spent the opening weekend of the event trying several new food offerings, such as the Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich at the Germany Marketplace.

Before we dive into the festival’s newest handheld delight, let’s take a quick stroll through the history of schnitzel itself. Authentic Wiener schnitzel, a traditional dish, originates in Austria and is one of the country’s most beloved comfort foods. It’s typically made from pounded, breaded, and pan-fried veal, showcasing a golden, crispy exterior and tender interior that’s both simple and satisfying. Over time, variations using pork, chicken, and other proteins have spread across Europe and beyond, bringing that crunchy, savory goodness to new audiences.

At the Germany Marketplace, the exact location where we tried the Bratwurst Slider (see our full review here: https://www.mainstmagic.com/bratwurst-slider-review-the-most-bratwurst-bratwurst-to-ever-bratwurst/), you’ll find the Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich, priced at $11.99 before any discounts or use of a sampler lanyard. It consists of a pretzel bun, grilled onions, and a chicken schnitzel patty.

Here’s our take:

  • Messy but in a good way: This sandwich doesn’t sit neatly on your plate, and that’s part of the charm. The combination of sauces and toppings tends to spill over, but that’s exactly what makes each bite rich and flavorful.
  • Components: On their own, each component (the breaded chicken, the pretzel bun, and grilled onions) lands in the average to slightly above-average category. Nothing will amaze guests individually, especially the chicken schnitzel, which tastes pretty average on its own.
  • Together they shine: While not every element dazzles independently, the combination of textures and flavors makes this sandwich a standout choice for your culinary journey through Seven Seas Food Festival.

This isn’t just another festival bite. This sandwich pairs well, making it an excellent choice for a day at SeaWorld Orlando.

The Seven Seas Food Festival is SeaWorld Orlando’s international culinary celebration, taking place across multiple weekends through May 17, 2026. During this annual event, guests can sample 200+ internationally inspired dishes, craft beers, wines, cocktails, and unique beverages from dozens of market-style booths scattered around the park.

As of February 12, 2026, the schedule for the Seven Seas Food Festival Marketplaces looks like this:

Culinary Marketplace Hours

  • Thursdays- 2pm-7pm
  • Fridays- 3pm-8pm
  • Saturday and Sundays 12pm-8pm

This is a change from being open noon to park closing time. Guests should plan accordingly.

The festival blends global cuisine and entertainment, pairing eclectic tastes with live music, themed celebrations, and family-friendly fun — all included with park admission. The food marketplaces are typically open from noon until park close on festival dates, and the lineup consists of both returning fan favorites and rotating menu items, dishes available only for limited stretches throughout the season to keep the experience fresh and enticing.

Rotating Menus & Sampler Lanyard Explained

Rotating Menus:
In 2026, SeaWorld introduced rotating menu items at select marketplaces. This means that while many offerings remain throughout the season, others appear only during short windows, like the General Tso’s Chicken, to encourage repeat visits and fresh-tasting experiences. This sandwich at the Germany Marketplace is a festival-long item and not part of the rotating lineup, so you won’t miss it mid-visit.

Sampler Lanyard:
For guests planning to sample multiple bites and beverages, the Seven Seas Food & Beverage Sampler Lanyard is a cost-savvy option. Lanyards come in parcels (for example, 10- or 15-item samplers), letting you redeem tastings at participating festival booths without paying per item each time. Official prices for 2026 are the 15-item sampler costs $89.99 (about $6 per sample), and the 10-item costs $74.99, a notable savings if you plan to try several dishes and drinks during your visit.
