Butter Chicken SeaWorld Orlando Overview

- Available through March 8
- Creamy Tomato-Based Curry with Tender Chicken
- Location: Indian Market – Seven Seas Food Festival, SeaWorld Orlando
- Price: $10.99 (before discounts or tasting lanyard redemption)
The Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando is known for bold flavors, global inspiration, and adventurous menus. Still, not every dish is designed to push culinary boundaries. The Butter Chicken from the Indian Market falls firmly into the “safe choice” category: approachable, familiar, comforting, and unlikely to surprise anyone’s palate. This dish features tender chicken in a creamy, tomato-based curry inspired by classic Indian butter chicken. It’s rich, mildly spiced, and designed for mass appeal, making it one of the most accessible international options at this year’s festival.
First Impressions & Flavor Profile

Visually, the dish looks exactly like what guests expect from butter chicken: a thick, orange-red sauce with chunks of chicken, served in a small festival portion bowl. The aroma is pleasant but subtle, lacking the strong spice-forward notes found in more traditional versions of the dish.
Flavor-wise, this is where the “safe dish” label truly applies.
- Creamy and mildly sweet
- Very low spicy heat level as one would expect from butter chicken
- Comfort-food profile rather than bold curry flavor
Butter Chicken at the Indian Market at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival 2026 – Safe, But Good!

If you have been reading this theme park dining review, and feel that a “safe” dish is a bad thing, please continue reading. Often calling a dish “safe,” means it is not a high-priority option. However, we suggest guests prioritize this Butter Chicken.
The portion size was wonderful. This may have been in a theme park food festival bowl. Still, it would be easily sharable. The chicken was some of the best we have tasted at a theme park food festival. Additionally, this chicken was not breaded. Guests get the sauce, chicken, rice, and a tasty time.
Sure, the rice could have been better. Also, this will never pass as authentic butter chicken served in many excellent Indian establishments. However, for any theme park, not just SeaWorld Orlando, this makes a fabulous festival sample.
Like many of the Seven Seas Food Festival food items this year, the Butter Chicken SeaWorld offered at this festival feels intentionally toned down to appeal to a broad audience. There’s nothing offensive about it. For a “safe” dish, this works very well. It’s pleasant, filling, and easy to enjoy, especially for guests who prefer familiar flavors over experimental ones.
Temperature Issues on a “Florida Cold” Day
One unexpected challenge with this dish came down to temperature retention. We visited on what Floridians would call a “cold” day, and the Butter Chicken struggled to stay warm — even after moving indoors to eat it. However, our group still found it to be an excellent choice.
Cream-based sauces tend to cool quickly, and this dish was no exception. While this won’t be an issue on warmer days, it’s something to consider if you’re visiting during cooler winter evenings when outdoor dining temperatures can drop quickly.
Butter Chicken SeaWorld: A Product of the Festival’s Rotating Menu Strategy

This year, SeaWorld Orlando is using a rotating menu strategy at many of the Seven Seas Food Festival marketplaces. Instead of static menus that stay the same for the entire event, select booths, including the Indian Marketplace, will rotate offerings throughout the festival’s run.
That means:
- Menu items are available for limited date ranges
- Certain dishes will be replaced with new options as the festival progresses
- Guests may see different menus depending on when they visit
The Butter Chicken is available only through March 8; after that, it will be replaced by a different offering at the India Marketplace. This rotating approach encourages repeat visits and gives SeaWorld more flexibility to refresh menus throughout the season.
Full Menu at the Indian Marketplace
- Butter Chicken (Available through 3/8) – Creamy Tomato-Based Curry with Tender Chicken
- Tandoori Chicken (Available from 3/9 – 4/12) – Marinated Chicken Roasted with Traditional Spices
- Chicken Tikka Masala (Available from 4/13 – 5/17) – Grilled Marinated Chicken with Warm Spices
- Dal Makhani Vegetarian – Slow-Cooked Lentils in a Rich, Creamy Sauce
- South Sea Swizzle – Gin, Turmeric Syrup, Pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, Bitters
- Mocktail Mango Mojito – Mango, Simple Syrup, Soda
Tasting Lanyards Explained (and Prices)

Like all Seven Seas Food Festival items, the Butter Chicken SeaWorld serves at this event can be purchased outright for $10.99 plus fees and tax, but many guests choose to use festival tasting lanyards instead.
Tasting lanyards allow guests to sample multiple dishes and drinks at a reduced per-item cost. While exact pricing can vary slightly, typical options include:
- 10-sample lanyard: $74.95
- 15-sample lanyard: $89.99
SeaWorld Orlando annual pass members receive 18 samples when buying the 15-sample lanyard. However, all sampler tasting lanyards have an annoying additional 5% surcharge, like everything at SeaWorld Orlando. Using a lanyard generally lowers the per-item cost to roughly $5–$7 per dish, making higher-priced items like the Butter Chicken a better value when redeemed as a sample rather than paying full price.
