On December 6, 2025, we were invited out to experience the opening day and night of the Holidays at Legoland Florida Resort. Also on this evening, we received news of when Galacticoaster opens in 2026. Legoland Florida announced the opening date with a special drone show. Besides the big Legoland Florida news, we experienced the family fun of the holidays.

Legoland Florida officially flipped the switch on the 2025 holiday season tonight as Holidays at Legoland Florida returned with signature LEGO charm, festive entertainment, and plenty of family-focused fun. The event runs on select dates through December 31, and is included with regular admission and annual passes. From the first tree lighting to the final snowfall, the opening-night crowd enjoyed a colorful, high-energy celebration that fit Legoland’s “made for kids” holiday vibe.

The star of the event, the towering LEGO Christmas tree, debuted its first nightly light show, glowing with synchronized lights and music. Families packed the central hub well before the show began, creating that classic opening-night buzz. This show happened at 6:45 p.m. on the opening night. Times may vary based on the evening your group attends.

Legoland filled the park with multiple festive shows, each designed with short runtimes perfect for younger audiences. Expect upbeat dance numbers, silly skits, and plenty of character energy. Opening night featured:

  • LEGO City Holiday Light Spectacular
  • Seasonal pop-up performers
  • Interactive elements for kids
  • Mini dance moments in key areas of the park

The show lineup is one of the event’s strongest parts. Guests rarely go more than a few minutes without spotting entertainment nearby.

Holidays at Legoland Florida: Meet LEGO Santa & Holiday Characters

LEGO Santa

Character meet-and-greets remain one of the most popular holiday activities at Legoland Florida, and opening night proved it once again. Families lined up to meet:

  • Craft and play stations are scattered throughout DUPLO Valley

Parents appreciated the mix of structured and free-play options to break up ride time.

Claus’ Cookie Apple Fries

For some of us, the visit to Holiday Days at Legoland Florida primarily involves the food and beverage. While Legoland doesn’t aim for the same culinary extravagance as Epcot or Universal Orlando Resort, holiday treats were still a hit including:

  • Let it Snow-coa
  • Pretzel Brr-ger
  • The Nutcracker Sundae
  • Claus’ Cookie Apple Fries
  • Peppermint Cheesecake Pop
  • Jingle Bell Spud
  • Merry Apple Milkshake

The entire park glowed with brick-built wreaths, giant ornaments, and holiday arches, making nearly every walkway a photo opportunity.

Opening-Night Atmosphere

Crowds were solid, especially around the tree lighting. Still, crowds were far from overwhelming. Ride wait times stayed family-friendly, and the entertainment-heavy schedule helped distribute guests throughout the park. The night was busier than a typical day at Legoland Florida. Still, guests could easily tell something special was happening based on higher-than-normal crowd levels. Overall, opening night delivered a bright, charming, kid-forward holiday experience ideal for families looking for lower-stress festive fun compared to the mega-resort events.
