City Works Eatery & Pour House at Disney Springs has launched a brand-new Chef Selects Menu, offering guests a fresh lineup of elevated comfort food designed to pair perfectly with their extensive craft beer selection. Known for its energetic sports bar atmosphere and diverse menu, City Works has always been a popular stop for casual dining. Now, with the rotating Chef Selects Menu curated by the restaurant’s culinary team, the experience takes on a more refined and creative edge. This round of the Chef Selects Menu items will be available through December 31, 2025. We expect a new rotation starting January 1, 2026.

City Works Disney Springs

The food options for this round of the City Works Chef Selects Menu include:

  • Campfire Fried Ice Cream – Crispy fried ice cream, toasted marshmallow, bourbon caramel, chocolate sauce, graham cracker crumbles, smoked almonds, whipped cream ($11.95)
  • Ribeye – 14 oz Rib Eye steak, smoked garlic butter, charred brussels sprouts with bacon jam, chipotle-cheddar mashed potatoes, crispy potato haystack ($44.95)

Additionally, two limited-time beverages are on the new Chef Selects Menu. These are:

  • Spiced Pear Red Sangria – Imagery Pinot Noir, St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur, Cointreau, Simple Syrup, Apple Juice
  • Root Beer White Russian – Absolut, Kahlua, Root Beer, Cream

During our most recent visit, we ordered these two menu items. Just so you know, we were invited out to try the new items and create a City Works menu review. Overall, we were impressed by how well the dishes strike a balance between comfort and creativity. City Works continues to deliver on its promise of good food, good beer, and good vibes. Still, the Chef Selects Menu adds a touch of culinary sophistication that sets it apart.

Our City Works Menu Review

City Works Menu Review

When we first saw the new Chef Selects Menu online, we found ourselves surprised that a gastropub, like City Works Eatery & Pour House, would offer a ribeye. In fairness, City Works Disney Springs does present guests with items that include:

  • Smoked Meatloaf
  • NY Strip
  • Pork Chop
  • Various BBQ Entrees

Based on that context, adding a limited-time rib-eye makes sense. Additionally, the price point of this 14 oz. rib-eye falls well below other Disney Springs restaurants selling a rib-eye entree, like STK Orlando and Boathouse. So, if this Chef Selects Menu rib-eye tastes anything close to those options, then it makes a great value for Walt Disney World visitors. Additionally, this steak comes with sides included, which is not always the case when ordering rib-eye steak.

Ribeye Chef Selects Menu

The Ribeye impressed with its seasoning and tender texture. Paired with charred Brussels sprouts topped with bacon jam, this entrée even won over those who typically shy away from the vegetable. The chipotle-cheddar mashed potatoes added a nice touch, though they arrived slightly cooler than expected. A crispy potato haystack crowned the plate, best enjoyed mixed in with the other components. Overall, this steak provided a satisfying flavor and excellent value for the price.

We concluded our meal with the Chef Selects Menu dessert. Desserts have not been a typical offering on this rotating, limited-time menu. Nonetheless, how do you complain about an ice cream dessert? This dessert consists of crispy fried ice cream, toasted marshmallow, bourbon caramel, chocolate sauce, graham cracker crumbles, smoked almonds, and whipped cream.

For dessert, the Campfire Fried Ice Cream brought a fun, nostalgic flair to the table. This Chef Selects Menu item offers strong positives and potential pitfalls for some guests. For the best experience, diners should enjoy almonds. Based on the smoky nature of the almonds (to achieve the campfire theme), this dessert offers a distinct flavor and texture that some guests may not expect. The smoked almond element might divide some guests, and a touch more chocolate would better balance the sweetness. Still, it’s an excellent portion for sharing and a well-themed, photo-worthy finish to the meal.

If you’re dining at City Works this holiday season, the Chef Selects Menu items provide a mix of comfort and creativity, especially if you’re craving a festive dessert or a solid steak entrée.
