Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera continues to offer one of the most refined breakfast experiences at Walt Disney World, and during our latest morning visit, one dish stood out as both flavorful and surprisingly filling: the Wild Mushroom Scramble. While the characters in their artistic outfits make breakfast here memorable, this savory creation became the real highlight of our meal.
Topolino’s Terrace Character Breakfast
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort offers “Breakfast à la Art,” an elevated character dining experience with stunning rooftop views. This popular prix-fixe meal is known for its high-quality, plated French and Italian-inspired dishes, a step above typical character buffets.
You’ll meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy in unique, darling artist-themed outfits. The meal begins with a shared “paint bucket” of pastries and an individual entrée, such as the famed Wood-fired Steak and Eggs or the light Sour Cream Waffle. The sophisticated atmosphere and excellent food make this one of Disney World’s most highly sought-after character reservations.
Wild Mushroom Scramble: Ordering the Non–Plant-Based Version
Though the Wild Mushroom Scramble is listed as a plant-based entree, featuring plant-based eggs, plant-based sausage, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes, our server recommended ordering all non–plant-based substitutions, paired with a side of bacon. Since we’ve enjoyed the fully plant-based version before and consider it a solid vegan option, we were happy to try it both ways. This time, the classic preparation delivered a richer, more traditional breakfast flavor while keeping the same structure as the original dish.
Wild Mushroom Scramble: A Refined Omelet With Elevated Ingredients
The plate arrived warm—very warm—which is exactly what you want from a breakfast omelet. The scramble itself leans heavily on its vegetable blend: tomatoes, mushrooms, and a generous amount of spinach. In fact, the dish included a bit more spinach than we prefer, but since the menu clearly calls this out, it’s hard to complain. The mushrooms remain the star ingredient, adding deep earthiness and bringing balance to the eggs.
Potatoes That Finally Hit the Mark
One of the most pleasant surprises came from the accompanying breakfast potatoes. On a previous visit, they were a bit underwhelming. However, not this time. These were crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly as they should be, providing a satisfying contrast to the softer scramble.
A Pastry Bounty: You Won’t Leave Hungry
There’s a recurring debate in online chatter from guests claiming they “leave hungry” after breakfast at Topolino’s. To that we say: Hungry? Really? Our table for two received eight pastries to start, and after enjoying those, we were brought an additional container filled with more pastries. With croissants, muffins, seasonal danishes, and that signature honey-butter croissant, there’s no shortage of carbs to complement your entree.
Atmosphere and Value
With its sweeping rooftop views over Disney’s Riviera Resort, Topolino’s Terrace sets the stage for a relaxed yet upscale start to your day. At $54 per adult, breakfast here isn’t inexpensive, but the quality ingredients, character interactions, and sheer amount of food justify the price—especially when considering both the entree and extensive pastry basket.

The Wild Mushroom Scramble, whether ordered plant-based or with classic substitutions, remains one of the most unique and flavorful entrees at Topolino’s Terrace. Warm, satisfying, loaded with fresh vegetables, and paired with excellent sides, it’s a dish that continues to deliver on both taste and value. Combine that with attentive service and an abundance of pastries, and it’s hard to imagine anyone walking out still hungry.
