During team member previews, the full Halloween Horror Nights 2025 event underwent a test run on Thursday, before the official opening day on Friday of Halloween Horror Nights 2025 in Orlando. What did we learn from reports from team member preview?
First Glimpse of Actual Halloween Horror Nights 2025 Food
Last week, we got a glimpse of the Halloween Horror Nights 2025 food via a news report. Yesterday, Universal Orlando Resort revealed the official food and beverage menus for Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) 2025. Via those sources, we saw pretty photos of the food and drink for the event. Still, what does the food really look like?

Want to See Some Scare Zones in Action?
The props for the Masquerade Dance of Death and The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane have looked very impressive leading up to Halloween Horror Nights 2025. Now, during team member preview, we have an idea of what to expect in those zones.
For Masquerade Dance of Death, we see large stage-like props, innocent party goers, victims, and many who seem to enjoy the death a bit too much.
Over in The Cat Lady at Crooked Lane scare zone, guests enter a different style of spookiness. Halloween season is in full force, but maybe not in a good way. There exists a story here. However, this is the type of story that does not have a happy ending. HHN fans got pumpkins in the trees.
Nonetheless, the cats are waiting for you. We will let your visit reveal where those cats came from. Visit this scare zone in the daylight so you can read the story of The Cat Lady at Crooked Lane. It all ends at the Cat Lady’s house.
Before we forget, another impressive scare zone exists. Mutations: Toxic Twenties Scare Zone at Halloween Horror Nights 2025 transports guests back in time to a tragic event. Guests will view some massive props that depict a gruesome tale. We hope you like green!
We will not ruin the entrance scare zone, The Origins of Horror. However, there are some nice statues fgor guests to appreciate in that zone.
Street Experiences -First Look
Halloween Horror Nights 2025 changed the playbook this year. Instead of five scare zones, there are only four. In the place of the fifth scare zone are two HHN experiences. For example, Club Horror, a bar and party zone, has taken up residence in the San Francisco area of Universal Studios Florida.
Over by Mel’s Drive-In, which becomes Mel’s Die-In during HHN, we expect the Mel’s Die-In Zombies to appear. We did not have an official statement from Universal Orlando Resort about this new experience for 2025. However, we knew that roller skating would be a part of it. We also learned that the zombies would perform and scare guests a bit.
Roaming Art the Clown
Yes, Halloween Horror Nights guests can see Art the Clown inside the “Terrifier” house at HHN 2025. Additionally, guests might meet a roaming Art the Clown at the event. You might even see him at Club Horror. He will be in other places. Still, we have faith in you that you can outrun him on his trusty tricycle. Of course, you could offer to share your popcorn from the Art the Clown popcorn bucket you bought at the event,
Of Course, There is a Five Nights at Freddy’s Theme to Louie’s Pizza
We still cannot guarantee the quality of the pizza at Louie’s. However, Universal Orlando Resort was not going to miss a chance to theme a pizza place to the theme of Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Halloween Horror Nights 2025 Tribute Store
The HHN 2025 Tribute Store did not open today as was previously scheduled. It is expected to open this week, at the latest by the opening night of Halloween Horror Nights 2025. One of the traditions at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is the Tribute Store. This pop-up shopping experience is far more than just racks of T-shirts. Every year, the store transforms into a fully themed environment, telling its own story while selling exclusive HHN merchandise, snacks, and collectibles. Think of it as part haunted house, part retail therapy, and part Instagram backdrop.
The HHN Tribute Store is notorious for going all-in on details. Past versions have included everything from spooky carnival themes to sinister movie theaters, complete with hidden Easter eggs for die-hard fans. Beyond the décor, it’s the best place to snag limited-edition shirts, mugs, posters, and even highly collectible event pins. Still, because HHN fans love a good snack, Tribute Stores have been known to sell over-the-top treats like monster macarons, blood-red fudge, and creepy cupcakes that look almost too spooky to eat.
For many, stopping by the Tribute Store is just as important as hitting the haunted houses. It’s a chance to soak in the artistry, grab exclusive souvenirs, and enjoy a quieter but equally immersive piece of the HHN experience. In short: the Tribute Store is Halloween Horror Nights’ ultimate “take-home scare.”
This year, the Halloween Horror Nights 2025 Tribute Store is in a new location. Typically located in the New York section of the park to the left of Revenge of the Mummy attractions, this year’s Tribute Store can be found to the right of that attraction, taking over what is usually the exit gift shop, Sahara Traders, and the attached arcade.
