VidantaWorld’s $1.5 Billion BON Luxury Theme Park Prepares for October 24 Soft Opening

VidantaWorld’s BON Luxury Theme Park soft opens October 24 in Mexico, offering original attractions, Cirque du Soleil, and fine dining.

Theme park enthusiasts have a major new destination to look forward to this fall. VidantaWorld’s Beauty of Nature (BON) Luxury Theme Park, officially billed as the world’s first luxury theme park, will begin its soft opening on October 24 at VidantaWorld Vallarta–Nuevo Nayarit.

Representing an ambitious investment of approximately $1.5 billion, the BON Luxury Theme Park aims to redefine traditional park experiences by merging world-class thrills, immersive environments, original storytelling, upscale dining, and high-end hospitality designed for all generations.

While theme park fans are always tracking major global developments—from the expansion of Harry Potter Abu Dhabi lands at Warner Bros. World to upcoming seasonal events like Universal Mardi Gras 2027 dates and spooky fall rankings like Howl-O-Scream week two rankings 2026—VidantaWorld’s new destination offers something entirely unique: a luxury-first approach without reliance on licensed IP.

A Brand-New Entertainment Universe

Rather than building lands based on existing movie franchises, the BON Luxury Theme Park draws inspiration directly from Mexico’s natural beauty, lush jungles, shimmering lagoons, and rich mythology. The project has crafted its own original characters and storylines set within living environments.

“We set out to create the world’s first luxury theme park and rethink what a theme park experience could be,” said Ivan Chávez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta. “BON brings together the excitement and imagination of a world-class theme park with the space, comfort, service and hospitality of a luxury destination. We want children, parents and grandparents to each find something extraordinary here — and to enjoy it together.”

The October 24 BON Luxury Theme Park debut marks the start of a phased soft opening available exclusively to VidantaWorld guests (with admission subject to availability) ahead of the grand public opening in April 2027.

When fully completed, the park will feature more than 20 attractions across seven themed worlds, alongside multiple dining locations, lounges, and retail spaces. Five of the seven themed worlds will be operational during the soft opening:

  • Discovery Jungle: Home to The Rise of Soluma, a suspended coaster engineered by Vekoma that spans 372 meters of track, reaching heights of 20 meters and speeds up to 54 km/h.
  • Laguna Feliz: Features Floresta Drop, an Intamin drop tower experience sending riders soaring 40 meters above the treeline before a thrilling plunge.
  • Adventure Valley: Houses Time Quest, a spinning and swaying family attraction crafted by Zamperla.
  • Celebration Lagoon: Showcases The Crater, a nightly spectacle featuring water, fountains, and light displays.
  • Crystal Star Plaza: Serves as a central hub for gathering, shopping, and dining.

BON Luxury Theme Park: World-Class Engineering and Entertainment

To deliver top-tier ride experiences, VidantaWorld partnered with the world’s leading ride manufacturers, including Vekoma, Intamin, Mack Rides, Zierer, Zamperla, Walltopia, Aerophile, and Brogent.

Entertainment plays an equally critical role. The park features Cirque du Soleil LUDÕ, a custom resident production that premiered in December 2025. Housed in a custom-built theater, the show combines live performance, visual storytelling, and gastronomy with a cast of more than 40 artists from over 20 countries.

To maintain a true high-end atmosphere, the park operates with a deliberately limited nightly capacity, ensuring guests have more time, space, and comfort to explore without heavy crowds. Additional attractions and experiences will continue to roll out in phases leading up to the April 2027 grand opening.
