Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition

Fans of Universal theme parks will soon have a brand-new way to explore their favorite attractions—without even stepping foot inside a park. Tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition, opening February 14, 2026, at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.

This first-of-its-kind experience was developed in partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal, Universal Destinations & Experiences. The award-winning creative design firm MDSX invites guests to go behind the scenes of some of Universal’s most beloved attractions and films, including Jaws, Jurassic World, Illumination’s Minions, The Secret Life of Pets, Sing, How to Train Your Dragon, and even SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™.

Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition – A Deep Dive into Universal’s Innovation and Storytelling

Universal Theme Parks:: The Exhibition

Across eight immersive galleries, Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition will explore how the company’s legendary attractions come to life—from concept to creation. The exhibition celebrates the artistry, storytelling, and technology that have defined Universal’s themed entertainment legacy for decades.

Guests can expect to explore interactive exhibits featuring animatronics, robotics, ride design, costuming, and special effects, all the science and creativity that bring the movies to life.

Each of the eight themed galleries will highlight a unique aspect of Universal’s approach to entertainment:

  • An Unconventional Spirit – Honoring Universal’s boundary-pushing creativity.
  • Storytelling & Wonder – Showcasing how narrative drives innovation.
  • Technology & Innovation – Exploring the tools that power cutting-edge attractions.
  • Thrills & the Rush of Adrenaline – Celebrating Universal’s high-octane experiences.
  • Scares & Horror – Paying tribute to the legacy of Universal Monsters.
  • Big, Bold & Entertaining – Highlighting Universal’s passion for live entertainment.
  • Authentic & Immersive – Examining how Universal crafts its worlds with realism and detail.
  • The Creative in You! – Inspiring the next generation of creators to dream big.

The newly released gallery renderings showcase the dynamic, interactive environments that await guests when doors open next year.
