Recently, we visited the Green & Red Coconut Club on the second level of Universal CityWalk Orlando. Today, Universal Orlando Resort revealed the recipe to one of its holiday mocktails.

The holiday season has officially transformed Universal Orlando Resort, and the Green & Red Coconut Club at Universal CityWalk is a must-visit festive destination. This year, the resort’s Beverage Program team has poured immense creativity into crafting a menu that prioritizes inclusive and exciting non-alcoholic options, starring the signature Universal Orlando mocktail, Gin-gle Bells.

Josh Franck, beverage program manager, emphasizes that the drinks are a critical component of the overall immersion, working closely with other departments to ensure everything fits the vision.

“We work with Creative, Entertainment and other teams to make sure our beverages fit the vision,” Josh says. “Immersion is everything. When guests walk into a venue surrounded by holiday décor and music, the food and beverage complete that experience. They’re not just refreshments — they’re part of the attraction.”

Gin-gle Bells: The Signature Universal Orlando Mocktail

The centerpiece of the non-alcoholic menu is the Gin-gle Bells mocktail. This vibrant, non-alcoholic drink highlights the team’s commitment to ensuring every guest has a great option, regardless of their drinking preferences.

“We try to make sure there are very good mocktail offerings everywhere we have cocktails,” Josh says.

The Gin-gle Bells is instantly recognizable by its festive green and red colors and a rosemary garnish. More than just a pretty drink, this signature Universal Orlando mocktail carries a sense of history. It features ancient ingredients such as pomegranate, cranberry, and lavender, which have been part of holiday traditions across cultures for thousands of years.

“When you taste it, you’re having the same experience someone might have had centuries ago,” Josh says.

This connection and storytelling are what make the Universal Orlando mocktail experience unique and special for the beverage team.
