Okay, let’s be real for a moment. The Italian food and beverage location at Epcot food festivals fails to earn a good reputation. The cuisine served there usually lacks any real pizazz. At most festivals, Epcot guests get a brand new lineup of menu items to try at the Italy booth and wonder about. However, there exist some exceptions, like the Bacetti ‘Kisses’ de Pizza this year.

The other non-dessert option at the Italy Global Marketplace this year is the Tortellini alla Vodka. This consists, according to the official menu, of a four-cheese tortellini, vodka sauce, parmesan, and calabrian chili oil.

Tortellini alla Vodka Epcot Food and Wine Review

Tortellini alla Vodka Epcot Food and Wine

In simple terms, this Tortellini alla Vodka Epcot Food and Wine Festival item fits the standard Italy profile. For eight dollars, we tasted basic sauce and pasta. The vodka sauce lacks a robust flavor. In fact, we thought it tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes, but not good tomatoes. Also, one member of our group compared the pasta to the type you buy in the grocery store from the frozen section. There is nothing wrong with that. However, guests could save their money and make a very similar dish at home with little effort. This allows them to try other more interesting Epcot Food & Wine options.

If you think we are being overly-critical and maybe your experience will vary, we have tried this four times now. All experiences fit this profile. Still, this makes a very “safe” dish for a picky eater, but why get it when better options at this event?

In addition, the menu description mentions Parmesan and Calabrian chili oil. Most guests will want a more powerful flavor of those components. During our experiences, we tasted very little of those components.

While we applaud the Italy booth for offering better food options this year, this Tortellini alla Vodka Epcot Food and Wine pasta dish fell short of meeting the high standards of most items at the event. This is not a bad item.  However, the dish lacks a robust flavor. Additionally, the pasta preparation varied significantly between the three festival samples we tried. For an eight-dollar 2025 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival item, this dish falls short in terms of portion size, value, and flavor compared to most offerings at this year’s event.

So, is the Italy booth back on track? Maybe, however, this menu item does not indicate that type of progress.

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Epcot

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is an annual culinary celebration at Walt Disney World, typically running daily through November 22, 2025. It’s a foodie’s delight, inviting guests to “eat and drink their way around the world” through dozens of Global Marketplaces. These pop-up kiosks offer small-portioned, inventive dishes and specialty beverages inspired by various countries and cultures.

The festival also features the popular “Eat to the Beat” Concert Series with nightly performances by renowned musical acts, along with family-friendly scavenger hunts like Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak. While park admission is required, the festival’s atmosphere and basic entertainment are included; food, beverages, and special events are purchased separately. It’s a vibrant, flavorful experience that showcases global cuisine and culture.
