Discover the messy, bold magic of The Glowing Oak Burger at Disney Springs. A limited-time Flavors of Florida masterpiece, available through August 10.

In the world of burgers, there are casual acquaintances (hello, fast food), and fleeting flings (what’s up, food truck rodeos). Then, there are chaotic summer romances—messy, unforgettable, and possibly involving jalapeño jam. Enter The Glowing Oak Burger at D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs, a limited-time Flavors of Florida creation available through August 10 that dares to do what few burgers have done before: replace your standard bun with a cheddar-chive biscuit and call it a day.
First, a Bit of Glowing Oak Backstory

Before we take a bite (or ten), let’s rewind for a moment. The name Glowing Oak isn’t just whimsical wordplay. It ties into the themed backstory of D-Luxe Burger itself. The restaurant is imagined as part of the fictional Glowing Oak Ranch, a rustic Florida cattle ranch where premium beef and bold flavors are a way of life. Every detail of D-Luxe Burger, from the barn-inspired architecture to the branding irons on the walls, plays into this folksy Floridian narrative.
So it only makes sense that their Flavors of Florida entry channels that same spirit—earthy, indulgent, and a little bit wild. This isn’t just a burger. It’s also a storytelling snack on a cheddar-chive stage.
Let’s Talk About The Glowing Oak Burger

Now back to the main event: Two pressed beef patties, pimento cheese, a fried green tomato, bacon, and jalapeño jam sandwiched between a cheddar-chive biscuit. However, it doesn’t come with fries. Why? Because this burger knows its worth. Well, we think that is why! Of course, no burger comes with a side at D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs.
Here’s what our taste buds experienced:
- Soft Bottom Bun (a.k.a. Biscuit): Structurally, this biscuit is holding on for dear life. We respect its effort. Is it a little too soft to contain all the greasy goodness? Absolutely. But this is Florida. If you’re not a little soggy, are you even trying? However, the top portion hangs in for all eight seconds of this rodeo bull ride.
- Greasy and Messy: Yes. This burger is the culinary equivalent of eating a well-dressed toddler during a heatwave. It will end up on your hands, your napkin, your soul. Bring backup napkins and possibly a bib.
- Good Bacon!!: Not “good bacon” — good bacon!! The exclamation marks are well-earned. It’s crispy, smoky, and not an afterthought. This bacon showed up with its resume and references.
- Fried Green Tomato: Adds a bit of twang and texture—less about crunch and more about flavor balance. It’s the Southern cousin who keeps the party from getting too spicy.
- Jalapeño Jam: Sweet, a little spicy, and the reason you’re suddenly sweating through your MagicBand. Not overwhelmingly hot, but just enough to say “Howdy, I’m here!”
- Pimento Cheese: Rich and indulgent, this cheese doesn’t just sit there—it lounges across the patties like it’s sunbathing in Boca Raton.
- Burger Patties: Surprisingly get a bit overwhelmed here. For a double smashburger, you’d expect them to punch through. But they’re more like supportive backup singers to the cheese/jam/bacon/fried tomato lead vocals.
So… Who Is The Glowing Oak Burger For?

Not everyone. This isn’t a bland, safe theme park burger. It’s bold, messy, salty, sweet, tangy, and rich. Additionally, it’s for people who want all the flavors of Florida at once, preferably in one bite. It’s also for biscuit believers. In addition, it’s for folks who pack antacids and wet wipes with equal dedication.
And while it may not be for everyone, we found it to be one of the best Flavors of Florida options we’ve tried this year. It’s weird. It’s wonderful and it’s got swagger.
The Bottom Line

For $15.49 (with no side, mind you), The Glowing Oak Burger feels like a whole Florida summer experience—equal parts indulgent, messy, and unforgettable. Still, if you’re okay with the idea that your lunch might briefly become a finger-painting activity, you’ll be rewarded with one of the most flavor-packed, unapologetic sandwiches in the Springs right now. Just remember: it’s only glowing through August 10, so grab it before it disappears back into the biscuit-y swamp from whence it came.
We expect at least one new seasonal burger at D-Luxe Burger starting August 11. Still, we wonder if it will achieve the messy goodness of The Glowing Oak Burger. Additionally, we would like to thank ThrillsTasteTravels for suggesting a trip to D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs.
