Strawberry Original Glazed returns to Krispy Kreme April 16-19, plus a $5 dozen deal and more spring treats for fans to enjoy.

Strawberry Original Glazed

Spring is about to get a whole lot sweeter. Krispy Kreme has announced that its fan-favorite Strawberry Original Glazed doughnut is returning for a limited time beginning Thursday, April 16. Guests will have just four days to grab the seasonal treat before it disappears again after Sunday, April 19.

The returning doughnut takes Krispy Kreme’s classic Original Glazed and gives it a bright strawberry makeover. The result is everything fans already love about the famous melt-in-your-mouth doughnut, only now with a fruity spring flavor that somehow makes eating breakfast feel slightly more acceptable.

Strawberry Original Glazed Doughnuts: Back For Fifth Time

This marks only the fifth time Krispy Kreme has released the Strawberry Original Glazed since it first debuted in 2020. It also has not been seen since May 2025, helping turn the limited release into something of an annual doughnut emergency for devoted fans.

For guests who want to go all in, Krispy Kreme is also offering a special deal during the promotion. Anyone who purchases any dozen doughnuts can get a Strawberry Original Glazed dozen for just $5. The offer is available in participating U.S. shops and drive-thru locations, with a limit of two discounted dozens per guest.

Guests ordering online through Krispy Kreme’s website or app can also take advantage of the deal. Online orders for pickup or delivery can use the promo code STRAWBERRY at checkout to receive a Strawberry Original Glazed dozen for $5, although the online version of the deal is limited to one discounted dozen per guest.

The Strawberry Original Glazed arrives at an especially busy time for Krispy Kreme. Earlier this week, the chain rolled out its annual Tax Day promotion, giving guests a chance to soften the emotional blow of filing their taxes with discounted doughnuts. That promotion offered customers purchasing an Original Glazed dozen the opportunity to receive a second dozen for the price of the sales tax in their state. For Floridians, that meant scoring a second dozen for just 7 percent of the regular price.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme has also been leaning heavily into spring-themed sweets this month. On April 7, the company launched its colorful Spring Collection featuring several new seasonal doughnuts.

The return of the Strawberry Original Glazed gives fans another reason to make a Krispy Kreme run before spring ends. Better yet, it pairs well with the existing Spring Collection. Anyone looking to build the ultimate spring dessert spread can mix a dozen Strawberry Original Glazed doughnuts with some of the newer Spring-inspired offerings and create what can only be described as a very balanced(?) meal.

Limited-Time Deal

Of course, since this is a limited-time release, fans should not wait too long. Krispy Kreme says the Strawberry Original Glazed will only be available while supplies last during the four-day event. If history is any indication, the specialty doughnuts may not survive the weekend without some very determined customers cleaning out the racks.

Guests can find their nearest participating Krispy Kreme location through the company’s store locator. If you have been waiting nearly a year for the return of Strawberry Original Glazed, your moment has arrived. If not, now is still a great time to discover why Krispy Kreme fans lose their minds every time these pink-glazed beauties return.
