What is Stay & Scream HHN? The Basics Explained

With the recent announcement of the Ozzy Osbourne house for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, it is clearly time to plan our nigths in the fog. Stay & Scream HHN will look different this year.

For guests who have never attended Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios Florida closes its gates to regular day guests at 5:00 p.m. on event nights before transforming into HHN for the night. Stay & Scream HHN is a special early-entry system that allows eligible guests to remain inside Universal Studios Florida while the park transitions. Instead of being funneled out to the main entrance turnstiles to wait in massive queues with thousands of evening visitors, early-entry participants are checked into designated areas inside the park. Participating guests get exclusive early access to select haunted houses before the general public is let into the park at the official event start time.

What’s New With Stay & Scream HHN: Early Access Starts at 2 P.M.!

Universal Orlando Resort has officially upgraded Stay & Scream HHN for event dates (select nights running August 28th through November 1st). Starting this year, early access officially begins at 2 p.m., giving eligible guests a major head start on select haunted houses and early food and beverage locations long before the park officially opens for the event at 6:30 PM.

(Note: Stay & Scream HHN is not available on Premium Scream Night dates, which take place on August 27th and October 19th).

Eligibility & Access: Do You Qualify?

To take advantage of Stay & Scream HHN, guests must hold both of the following for the exact same date:

1. Valid Daytime Admission to Universal Studios Florida
2. Valid Halloween Horror Nights Admission

Eligible Daytime Admission Types:

• Single-Day Ticket (valid for Universal Studios Florida)
• Multi-Day Ticket (valid for Universal Studios Florida)
• Valid Universal Orlando Resort Annual Pass or Seasonal Pass

Getting Your Wristband

Wristbands are strictly required to participate in Stay & Scream HHN, grant early queue entry, and access early house openings.

• Starting at 2 p.m.: Additional in-park wristband pickup locations open at:
