AMC Reveals Star Trek 60th Anniversary Concession Collectibles — Here’s What’s Beaming Down September 4

AMC’s Star Trek 60th Collectibles launch on September 4 with an Enterprise popcorn bucket and mystery-topper fountain cup.

AMC Theatres is marking Star Trek’s 60th anniversary the same way it marks most major franchise milestones these days: with a themed popcorn bucket and a mystery-topper cup. AMC confirmed on social media that its Star Trek 60th Anniversary Concession Collectibles line launches in theaters on September 4, just days ahead of the franchise’s actual anniversary date of September 8, sixty years to the day since the original Star Trek premiered on NBC in 1966.

The lineup keeps things tight at two pieces, but both go heavier on the collectible sculpting than a lot of recent AMC drops.

Starship Enterprise Popcorn Collectible — This is the marquee piece: a sculpted USS Enterprise NCC-1701, saucer section and all, mounted nose-up on a glossy, iridescent base shaped like the Starfleet delta insignia. The ship itself is the popcorn vessel, with the saucer section functioning as the serving container and “NCC-1701” and “U.S.S. ENTERPRISE” callouts molded into the design. It includes popcorn with purchase.

Cup With 1 of 4 Mystery Toppers — The more budget-friendly (and more collectible-in-a-vacuum) option is a fountain drink cup wrapped in a teal, LCARS-adjacent graphic, topped with a randomized mini Enterprise topper. AMC’s art shows four toppers in the set, meaning completionists will need multiple cups — or a friend willing to trade — to land the full run. It includes a fountain drink with purchase.

AMC’s promotional copy pairs the merchandise drop with a theatrical push: “See the original film, watch the marathon, or find select showings of the other movies,” pointing to a broader Star Trek theatrical slate at AMC around the anniversary window rather than a single-title release. As of publication, AMC has not listed specific pricing for either item on its own channels, and neither collectible appears yet in the AMC Theatres | The Shop online store, which is typical for concession-only exclusives that stay in-theater rather than moving to e-commerce.

The fine print on AMC’s graphic is worth flagging for anyone planning a run at these: additional fees apply to online/mobile orders, gourmet popcorn is excluded from the popcorn collectible, and AMC Stubs upgrade discounts do not apply to either item. As always with AMC concession exclusives, availability is while supplies last and will vary by location.

Why September 4, and What Else Is Happening

September 8, 2026 marks 60 years since Star Trek: The Original Series premiered on NBC with “The Man Trap.” AMC’s September 4 launch date lines up with a broader pattern this anniversary season: independent and specialty theaters, including The Everett in Washington, have scheduled 60th anniversary screenings of Star Trek: The Motion Picture that same weekend, often paired with a rare theatrical showing of a Original Series episode as a pre-show. AMC’s own “watch the marathon” language suggests a similar multi-title theatrical event is rolling out at AMC locations around the same time, though the chain hasn’t published a title-by-title schedule yet.

The anniversary celebration doesn’t stop at AMC. Regal Cinemas has confirmed its own 60th anniversary offering: a documentary titled The Sixty-Year Mission: How Star Trek Changed Television and the World, executive produced by William Shatner and featuring interviews with Shatner, George Takei, and Walter Koenig. That film is set for an exclusive Regal theatrical run beginning October 9. Between AMC’s concession collectibles and theatrical slate in early September and Regal’s documentary in October, Star Trek’s 60th is shaping up to be a two-chain, two-month celebration rather than a single blowout weekend.

Star Trek 60th Collectibles: Should You Line Up for This One?

For franchise-anniversary collectibles specifically (as opposed to new-release tie-ins), AMC’s track record is mixed on scarcity — some anniversary items linger for weeks, others sell through opening weekend. Given that this is a two-item collection rather than a five-or-six-piece program, and that the Enterprise popcorn collectible is clearly the hero piece, expect it to move first. The mystery topper cup is the safer buy if you’re going for the full set of four, since a slower sell-through gives you more shots at completing the run without resorting to the secondary market.
