Princess Cruises has revealed the next chapter of its celebrated Spellbound by Magic Castle experience, set to enchant guests aboard the brand-new Star Princess. This immersive speakeasy venue is a collaboration with the legendary Magic Castle in Hollywood, offering a world of illusions, sleight-of-hand, and captivating storytelling at sea.

Spellbound by Magic Castle: Honoring the Golden Age of Magic
The Star Princess version of Spellbound builds on its popular debut aboard Sun Princess, introducing a fresh theme inspired by the golden age of magic. The experience pays special tribute to one of the most iconic magicians of all time, Richard Valentine Pitchford, better known as Cardini. Famous for his grace, charm, and mastery of sleight-of-hand, Cardini’s legacy continues through his great-nephew, Randy Pitchford, who now owns the Magic Castle.
A Journey Through Magical Spaces
Guests will encounter a series of uniquely themed spaces as the experience unfolds. From the whimsical ticketing booth to the mysterious Inner Circle, each area has been designed with theatrical detail. Highlights include the elegant Cardini Bar, the backstage-inspired hidden lounge, and the intimate Peacock Theater. The atmosphere is brought to life with rich décor, moody lighting, and an air of mystery.
Exclusive Cocktails for a Magical Evening
The Cardini Bar will feature an exclusive new cocktail menu available only aboard Star Princess. Each handcrafted drink has its own creative twist, such as The Inner Circle, a milk-washed vodka cocktail infused with jasmine tea, and the Cardini, a butter-washed rum Old Fashioned. These imaginative creations perfectly complement the enchanting ambiance of the venue.
Spellbound by Magic Castle: A Night of Entertainment and Wonder
Spellbound by Magic Castle is open to all guests aboard Star Princess with several nightly showtimes. Admission is $45 per guest and includes two signature cocktails and an unforgettable magic show. Tickets can be booked in advance through the Princess Cruises website or purchased onboard. Unlike the original concept, the new version does not include dinner before the show, so guests are encouraged to enjoy a meal at least two hours before their reservation to immerse themselves in the magic fully.
