SeaWorld Orlando invited us out to experience a day of the Summer Spectacular at SeaWorld Orlando. Everything we cover in this photo report pertains to experiences that any guest can have when visiting SeaWorld Orlando.
Guests planning to visit SeaWorld Orlando should note that much of the theme park does not open until 10:00 a.m. on days when it opens earlier. This should be scheduled for so you avoid being disappointed when you cannot ride a rollercoaster like IceBreaker when the theme park opens.
SeaWorld Orlando Summer Spectacular
Summer Spectacular at SeaWorld Orlando provides many opportunities to explore and have fun. During our recent visit on Friday the 13th, we rode IceBreaker. Since it was a scary day, with Halloween Horror Nights announcing a Jason Voorhees house, SeaWorld Orlando had a few “zombies” entertain guests while they experienced the roller coaster.
After riding IceBreaker, we went to check on some menu updates at SeaWorld. Then, we went to watch Rescue Tails at the SeaPort Theatre. At this show, guests hear inspiring tales of rescues while learning about the importance of conservation.
When the show was over, we took a break and got ready to check in for the media event. Check-in started at noon. We picked up our credentials and basic schedule. From there, we went to check on Lakeside Grill, a quick service we rarely see open, On this day, it was open. In fact, we dined there later in the day. Shamu and Crew Parade
The Shamu and Crew Parade was scheduled to take place at 1:30 p.m. on this day. We set up for viewing. This parade happens on the other side of SeaWorld Orlando from the Sesame Street Parade that was running later in the day.
Following the parade, we visited the Antarctic Realm of SeaWorld Orlando. The Emperor Penguins have arrived for viewing by guests. These can be seen at the animal habitat associated with the Penquin Trek attraction.
Oh by the way, SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens are in the middle of their Free Beer promotions.
We concluded our visit by watching the Hydro Surge show at Nautilus Theatre. SeaWorld Orlando describes this summer show as “Dive into Hydro Surge, an electrifying cirque spectacular where the power of the ocean meets industrial grit. This high-energy show surges with breathtaking acrobatics, fierce dancers, live vocalists and a powerhouse drummer. Hydro Surge pulls you into a tidal rush. Prepare to be swept away.”
After this, we attended a media reception. We got to try some of the special food being offered during SeaWorld Orlando Summer Spectacular. So, this would not have been open to all guests. Still, we got an idea of the themed food for June during the SeaWorld Orlando Summer Spectacular.
Even though we did not stay for the evening events on this night, the SeaWorld Orlando Summer Spectacular fun continues on weekends this summer with Club Sea Glow and the Ignite Fireworks featuring a new drone show.
